Just another greedy corporation, with poor managers that aren't there for the staff let alone clients. As long as the CAA bodies are in in the building, they don't care. I fully believe that management is only there to keep the paperwork pretty. If D.O.H ever walked in there unannounced, the place would be shut down. The amount of mental and physical abuse CCA'S endure is unreal!
Lack of workers, lack of things provided for care, Lack of time given to have people ready, lack of attention given to concerns for the workers and residents.
great hardworking staff
Shannex was the worse place to work . The management is the worse.. You worked short 90 percent of the time and this became a normal and no one seem to care. The lack of communication in this place is awful.. If you get hurt you're on you'e own they are more worried about pushing you back to work then fixing your injury
always working short

it is great work experience other than the scheduling system, mandatory 2weeks days and 2 weeks evenings is not great with the budget specially if you are just starting a family.
nica and friend team members
long hours of work being short all the time
Unprofessional and they do not help their employees. When i got hurt they did not help me but force me back to work hurt and cause more damage then told me to go on Welfare! I would never work with them again.
some what ok pay
Great were staff, hard job for such little pay with no raise. Management was difficult to work with because of the lack of support when it came to family members treating CCA's horribly.
health care experience
A great place to work.I've learned so much things about clients behavior, and how you deal with them in times of their bad modes and so on, It was actually interesting to be part of their lives. I find that the hardest part of my job there is, when you work at night shift. you were there for 24 hours and not sleeping,it's tough job .However, you will be proud of your self as well, because you helped so many people and watch them 24 hours, making sure that they were safe and normally breathing.Management are very great to their employees and very understanding, they were very quick in solving a conflict with their employees

Care Assistant positions
Shifts range from 8-12 hours, day and night shift. caring for the elderly, and doing laundry. Management is great, very friendly as well as the coworkers, everyone works as a team. Hardest part of the job is being on your feet for a long period of time, as well as transferring clients. Most enjoyable would definitely be the rewarding feeling of helping the vulnerable elderly that cannot do things for themselves.
staff appreciation week, bbqs, friendly people
Workers are not taken seriously by higher up staff. Clients are being neglected and ignored. conflicts and gossip among employees heard while workers on break outside. Employees breeching confidentiality. hard to take any time off with being called by staffing all day everyday. felt like instead of creating a problem free care enviroment it felt like an instituion.

instituional like facilities
Supportive staff and management, challenging but exciting working environment. Some amount of politics that can be a bit distrubing but this is mangement doing their best to operate the company effectively.
My position is full time 12hr. Shifts are very busy and multi-tasking is essential. This I have learned to improve on immensely. Also, time management is very important in this field of work. My daily responsibilities include: nursing care for clients, housekeeping, laundry, preparing and cooking meals, and some ordering of food and supplies. For the most part I have worked with a great team which is important to keep the pace of work even and the work accomplished smoothly. The hardest part of the job is saying good bye to a client I have taken care of and gotten to know well. On the other hand it is rewarding to know I have done everything possible to care for the clients during their last years and help improve their quality of life. In the three years working at this facility, I have felt comfortable with management, knowing issues are dealt with in a professional manner but also encouragement and support are present as well.
