This job is skilled for people who are strong and can handle moving big and heavy objects around when cleaning. Also this job is very active so that means you will be moving around.
Keep you moving all day
Don’t get paid that much
Service master of muskoka, was probably the most enjoyable place I've ever worked at. A typicial day of work was getting a ride out to a camp or a office building where we would unload our cleaning supplies and proceed to systematically clean every building or office there. I learned that it is harder then it looks to De-wax and Re-wax a floor. which was also the hardest part of the job, and the most enjoyable part of the job was the ability to relax during the work and be able to have a little fun while making sure the job gets done.
enjoyable, free lunches, never a dull moment
long hours, long transportation
Worst place i have ever worked at. Full of drama long hours. You wont be paid your over time the people in the office are 2 faced. You are treated like garbage you will work so hard and not once be told your doing a good job. They will use you till you stick up for yourself then bash you. Over all this place is a joke. And god forbid you have something going on in your personal life as there will always come first ! Do not work here. Unless you enjoy being treated like dirt
At first glance the word was instilled as a great company to work for. Service Master restore in St. John’s Newfoundland has very questionable business practices including, conflict of interest..Improperly trained management team. Politically motivated agendas of manipulating claims through insurance companies to work in there favour. Although I can’t prove anything I’m saying, I can say that everything I had seen for my own eyes was questionable. No whistle blower policies and rules appear out of no where. Your one step away from a lay off.
Competition, manipulation, politics, under experienced management.
I personally watched the mistreatment of hundreds of employees. They would ramp staff and then systematically remove them for petty excuses if they didn’t like them. Zero regard for the human condition. We were in the middle of a recession and ServiceMASTER took advantage of the staff bused up to help with the restoration. They knew that people had no options and they played it to their advantage knowing this was some people’s last hope before homes, vehicles, marriages were lost. I would not work for them. You should not work for them.
Temp agency hired great people
The existing employees and management
This was a highly physical and mental job. we were suited up daily because of the smoke dangers. I learned to work with every type of individual from all over the world and enjoyed the experience. Out of 700 employees i was one of the last 60 to remain in Ft. Mac. until the job was completed.. Hardest part of the job was suiting up and having to break every 2 hours. which included removing all outer wear and when returning repeat the procedure. Was very time consuming for the company.
Bus every day to work and return
This is a very physical job that requires organization and patience. We attend all major disasters. We store peoples property at a warehouse and keep control of inventory
Satisfaction of comforting people
Hard long hours
A good place to work. great supervisors and co workers. easy, flexible hours but working alone can be a challenge when you have a lot to get done in a short amount of time. sometimes you feel rushed and pushed to very high standards.
Working alone, lots of work to do in a short amount of time
