Managers seem to care how we are always doing, and have staff events planned every couple months, BBQ's etc. Lots of travel though, but the jobs are always different and challenging.
Managers care about us and our safety.
Long Hours at times, travel as well.

Me and along with 4 other people got fired for bringing up health and safety issues. When they found out I took pictures of toxic clue that was used on the work site, then the same day i was sent home.
Good pays, fun work
terrible management, do not care about safety
Working for service master was a wonderful opportunity. Drivers pick you up from your home, take you to your jobsite and then take you back home. I learned a lot of hands-on skills, using tools and machinery. Management was great and have great leadership skills, as coworkers are always willing to help and motivate you during your work day. Nothing is hard about the job, just work consistently at your own pace and the job will get done. It's just a matter of doing things a certain way that will help you pick up productivity.
hard work but very satisfying and rewarding, the staff was very helpful and management and owners were very fair, I learned alot about restoring items to look like new, the hardest part was the dirty work environment, fires/ floods, but very rewarding when stepping back and looking at what you've done
on the daily basis i completed my various tasks of cleaning desktops, bathrooms, vaccuming carpets, whiping windows/elevators, mopping hallways/ lunchrooms, emptying garbages. i learned how to clean and upkeep a workplace efficiently. As for coworkersi worked alone accept for the occasional check in from my supervisor. And by far the hardest part of the job was cleaning the stainless steel in the sinks and toilets and by far the most enjoyable part was being able to be indipendant in my tasks and also the flexible hours.
felt a sense of accomplishment knowing i was a trusted employee(security codes/building keys)
it was a hassle having to work around occupants working late at there desks.
I liked ServiceMaster. It was a little bigger than the other restoration I worked for, so there were the different groups of people that were friends, and everyone was very friendly. Working at ServiceMaster was very enjoyable, and jobs were always completed full-heartedly. I was treated like family which made working and learning easier and more enjoyable. There were some things that I wasn't to happy about, like being sent out to Red Earth for a "2 day job" and them telling me that I can't go home after that second day because we weren't done. There was occasionally organizational issues as well as comunication issues. They could have told me that it could be a longer job, but they asked if I wanted to go out of town for 2 days. I had made important plans for the day I was supposed to be back, and since they kind of screwed me over, my boyfriend had to drive hours to come get me. But other than the slight organizational and communicational issues, I did really love the job and the company. Since I worked there, they may have worked on these issues and improved, but I'm not sure.
Guarantee'd hours, friendly employees, friendly supervisors
miscommunication issues and organizational issues
