Don’t waist your time going to service master. I worked there only 4 days and realized. I made a big mistake. They back stab. Like crazy. They have a small click with the people already there. The management. Could not manage. A group. Of grass hoppers. That’s a really bad all around job. They call them selves cleaners. But every place I was in was a pig pen. And looked like no one had cleaned it in a month
They are small minded and could care less about their employees. They overcharge customers and under pay their employees.
I found the owner to be cheap, money driven and small minded. It's all about the buck. They overcharge their customers up their bill up for no reason and employees are overworked, unappreciated, and underpaid.... Regardless of how good a job you do, if u leave they'll give you a bad job reference to spite you.
I didn't like working for service master because of the people I was working with they are the most awful sort of people, and the clients we were working for were all rude and ignorant.
I worked for two days on a large apartment building, on the Mississauga/Brampton border in Peel Region. The job was fairly good, and I was paid well for the work I did. My employer was kind to his employees, and even bought us lunch. Unfortunately for me, the employee I was standing in for returned, and I was no longer needed.
At the beginning I found it to be a nice company to work for, but I didn't have too much hours, and then I was contacted by the owner.
some of the people were nice and plesent to work with, but I found the owner not to be very plesent to deal witth, and I found that there wasn't too much work for me.
the good part of working for this company, is the hours fit in to your schedual
some times you had long hours
Cleaning ups after fires or floods. Cleaning bathrooms and floor. Vacuuming rugs. Dusting and washing of ceilings, floors, walls and stairs. Wiping down furniture and things. You need to pull your weight and be able to work in these types of areas and under different types of conditions. Working in many different types of places as well. Most important you need to be able to work alone or in twos at times and in groups at different times.
Give you everything you need for the job.
Can be a very dirty job.
2 dollars to get picked up and 2 more to get dropped off every shift. Not picked up or dropped off at my house I had to take the bus to the meeting place. 5 dollars to get a new pay stub e-mailed to me because the person who is the H.R. department sent it to the wrong email. The supervisers text or talk on there cell phones to friends and family even if they are support to be sharing the work load.
Late hours and you often don't know what time you will finish.
Service master of muskoka, was probably the most enjoyable place I've ever worked at. A typicial day of work was getting a ride out to a camp or a office building where we would unload our cleaning supplies and proceed to systematically clean every building or office there. I learned that it is harder then it looks to De-wax and Re-wax a floor. which was also the hardest part of the job, and the most enjoyable part of the job was the ability to relax during the work and be able to have a little fun while making sure the job gets done.
enjoyable, free lunches, never a dull moment
long hours, long transportation
