Loved working there at first,started of cleaning. Promises saying I was gonna get out of there soon by management.never happened,so stopped showing up

This place is unorganized and dangerous. The management have no idea what's going on. When I worked there the motto was production first and safety last. The pay was ok but not worth the bullcrap and extremely ignorant and dangerous environment.

Ten hour days can be filled quickly in an ever changing environment. Challenging by times, but a very collaborative attitude to ensure the job gets done. Flow of information could use work from upper management.

It's your average lumber mill environment. Loud and dusty, lots of manual labor. definitely room for advancement if you show up and don't mess around too much

Money was great! but management has little interest in fixing issues, And too many hours with little time off. Far too many break downs of machinery making shifts long and strenuous

Management doesn't seem to put a lot of emphasis on quality of the product they are putting out and are more concerned with just meeting daily quotas. This task is left up to the supervisors and the higher ups seem to only pay attention when something goes wrong.

At the beginning of a shift I typically discuss what happened in the last 12 hours with the operator terminating his shift. Read his notes in the logbooks and perform regular beginning-of-shift rounds. After that I ensure that the kilns that are not currently being operated are being prepared and the kilns that are about to finish a drying session will be tended to by the loader operators.
Constantly update the supervisor.

I learned how to operator the boiler and kiln systems while on shift alone.

I learned alot about hands on maintenance.

Interaction protocol with coworkers and contractors.

How to properly clean the boiler room and main control room.
