Working for this type of call center was a first for me. Simply explaining a fee that homeowners were being charged was a new experience
the job did not call for me to commute. exactly 13 mins to get to work
unstable and unorganized
I was excited to work at SCI because it was small and woman owned company. After a week I was looking for another job. Everything seemed professional in the beginning but the CEO ran the company like we were her servants. I have never worked at a company with such an extreme turnover rate. The CEO was more concerned about her singing career than running a business.
The owner did not handle herself in a professional manner with employees, nor customers. The reputation of the organization was declining, quickly. The CPARS provided by the government customer was less than satisfactory. The company recently list all their contracts and is basically "out of business ".

Great company and great benefits management was there for you and assisted me in placement and advancement. only bad thing was the contract ended and not a job to move to lateral so had to change contract companies.
A typical day at work consists of answering incoming calls and either answering customer questions and complaints or forwarding the caller to the correct department so that their needs can be met. In between calls (or when asked to only do paperwork) I handle the disputes of properties and research the correct owner and make decisions based on the information they or the web applications provide. The environment in the office is very relaxing and the management team is very open and helpful when I have questions in regards to things I may not understand at the time. The most difficulty part of the job are the irate callers we tend to get from time to time but it gives me personal satisfaction to be able to calm these callers down and make sure I give them accurate information
Catered lunches, some leniency as far as availability, easygoing coworkers
Front-End C# .Net Developer that worked on a number of different projects some with a team and others individually. Experienced as both Front-End and Back-End Developer. The best part of the job is the creativity required for being able to establish and develop a well defined architecture and structure, and also the day to day problem solving.
