biggest waste of my 3 years

highly recommend not working here. the pay was decent but honestly not worth it. management doesn’t care about hard workers, only way you move up is if you’re a managers favourite

Fun work place

Team work is high there. Everyone held everyone with their job duties. Excellent place to work tons of good staff. Perks with the rewards card for the staff.

Points positifs

Fresh fruit for staff in lunch room

Points négatifs

Night hours

Don’t do it unless you have to

You won’t enjoy the job dudes. This is not the place you wanna be. You will barely able to talk with your friends if you’re a cashier. Boring and stressful simultaneously

An ok job if looking for a part-time position

I work in the produce department, and a typical day at work involves quality checking products and making sure all of them are in good condition. Its all about checking and discarding the bad quality/expired products and just restocking everything. Then when you're done you record EVERYTHING that is wasted to make sure it gets put in the system, so they can see the expenses of all that's wasted. That is the main thing to do in the entire produce department. Let alone all the other side chores you have to do, such as sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, changing price tags, sanitation, etc. Now imagine trying to do all that within 4 HOURS. There's a lot of work to do, especially for the small shifts they give you. Most of the time I barely get any hours and I'd be lucky to get over 20 hours or more.Management is strict and expect you to do and finish all your chores. They want you to be fast and accurate with your chores, yet if I do that, my duties and responsibilities become sub par. I even experienced a few employees lose their jobs due to them being slow, even though they've been here less than 3 months. The benefits are alright, you get 10% off groceries or 30 times the points from the rewards card. They also sometimes give out free food in the lunch room and you also get some in the team member offers from the rewards card. But they do also have cool stuff in their team member website, such as wellness programs, courses and other stuff to read and learn about, training videos, and other useful links and information. Overall, Save on Foods is good if you're looking for part-time -

Points positifs

Free food/items sometimes, mostly flexible schedule, Team member website

Points négatifs

short shifts, barely any hours a week, strict management, workload
