Not the place go to if you're in IT
I worked there for a short stint before I was fortunate enough to find something else by pure luck.
I was told that we'd be upgrading core systems in their infrastructure, however upon joining, was informed that the upper echelons in the company (the siblings who run the company) hold on to their money very tightly, and would not really approve of spending any money on infrastructure improvement and modernization.
Essentially, they had grand visions of improvement with nearly $0 funding being put toward any of it. and expected open source to work magically, out of the box and fix everything.
My direct manager, although a smart, and overall a nice guy(albeit ultra paranoid that everyone and their uncle are out to get their data, even google), was ill equipped to manage an IT department.
In my time there, in the position I was in, I could not see, other than through attrition, any possibility of moving up, and ultimately, only by one level.
They're very much stuck in the 1990s in their mentality towards technology.
I cannot recommend this for anyone in the IT field, it'll crush your soul.
friendly people, close to grocery store and restaurants.
No opportunity for advancement, no spending for IT. No telecommuting.
