Sally's makes it their mission to ensure every customers visit is personal, by greeting each customer at the door, ensuring that the customers product is 100% right for them and if for what ever reason it isnt we ask a few clarifying questions to pin point your hair, and personal needs to best recommend the product that best suits your needs. and if for what ever reason a customer purchases a product a customer can return it to store within 60 days of purcase granted the product isnt less than 50% filled

Management smokes pot in the bathroom and leave the store for hours at a time and part timers by themselves. Racist management make you follow POC around the store to make sure they aren’t stealing.

Great work place. There are many learning tools to help employees be successful at their jobs. HOWEVER, depending on the store you are placed at, you will find yourself over worked and under appreciated because they will take advantage of part time workers. Leadership starts from the front, except at Sally’s—it depends on your manager.

The company doesnt care about its little people. Most of the apps are full of glitches. The company tries to shove 10 yeara of technology down your throat but even the tills are decades old. The companies ONLY focus is sales. Staff who've been there for 3 years still making minimum wage...

To the greatest place for advancement but nice perks. Got free stuff a lot in the beginning but now those perks suck. Typical day was like any other retail environment. Management was great at my store.

I loved working at Sally Beauty, my coworkers are lovely, in the locations I worked at least, but customers can be very hard to deal with sometimes and do not realize that we're only there to help and give them our knowledge about the products. Management seems to expect so much from employees when employees don't really get rewarded for the amount of work expected to be done. Also, I've worked at 2 locations for these company and the security isn't so great, or you might even say we don't seem to have any. But it's fun at times when you get to share your knowledge with ladies/men in the industry you might be in, in the beauty industry. Meeting professionals in the beauty world

manager picked favourites, employee harassment at windermere location, CEO does not believe your complaints as the store does not have cameras and manager was never around.

all my co workers were wonderful, but the higher ups in the company love to be negative. location i worked was extremely sketchy - had no security cameras

A typical day at Sally Beauty would include interaction with customers and staff about new product and trending products.
The most valuable thing was to able to provide my opinion about products I was familiar with before joining Sally beauty.

The most enjoyable part of the job was receiving monthly free product. The hardest part of the job was poor management which did not allow me to feel comfortable at work.

In the time I was at Sally I saw many BAD employees kept and promoted while many really good employees were let go or driven to quit; simply because the did not get along with the District Manager. The Territory Manager was very good friends with the DM so complaints were not dealt with. Several great managers were accused of theft (with no proof), written up for silly offenses (leaving a penny on a filing cabinet), etc. The DM was also a very big gossiper and often talked about other employees and managers to anyone that would listen.

The job itself was ok, the guidelines for dealing with customers were often confusing so it left customers and employees confused and frustrated. Rules were not enforced through out the city/district so we would often get complaints about other stores. The company's expectations for the store were great but in reality they did not allow us to have the staff to meet them.

Are typical day at work would be:

- starting 15 minutes or more before my shift and getting things organized and ready for the day before I clocked in.

(Recommended by my manager... the district manager)

- following up with messages from upper management, other managers in the area needing help, price changes, store up to operational and loss prevention standards, team development, customer service, preparing and making report, preparing and shipping orders for businesses


- I advance my skills with selling techniques, customer service advanced training, product knowledge, further my knowledge in human resources, human rights, workplace standards, WCB implements, worker safety, politics of businessl


Unfortunately I found very little Resources as far as upper management non-political garbage. The successful managers in our area at the time had left coinciding with my leave. Being the area trainer in advancing my career so quickly due to my own professionalism and career drive, when I ran into shady dealings and Misrepresentation from upper management I unfortunately was used as the scapegoat when I personally had brought to light issues that I or my team was uncomfortable with.


My coworkers were great to work with as well as my team that I had built myself over the two years were wonderful and I still do references for them as well as the reach out to me still for professional and career advice.


The most enjoyable part of my day was seeing the benefits of my teams and myself hard work and drive pay off in regards to company rewards/incentives,

Typical work day if you are a coveted "million dollar store" is pretty hectic. Great for those who like fast pace. I have learned NEVER trust those above you and always protect your behind. My co-workers were really great, they are hard dedicated workers, happy and go-lucky. Although if this says much, almost all are looking gor different jobs while they are there... hmmmmm?
I think the hardest part of the job is that your alone. So you have to be extra savvy, and watch for anything and everything, if you can master this job you'll be an amazing poker player
