Love working with the people I work with daily. Sage loves to hire from within, but sometimes that leaves gaps in front line leadership.

I have the ability to work remotely when I so choose, as long as I'm not dropping the ball on any of my tasks.

Love the pace of change but Sage is still behind the times, could be more aggressive.

Things are changing

Sage was a very entrepreneurial company, where sales representatives were free to adapt their speeches and conversations depending on each of their customers, as long as they were respecting common sense rules and good practice policies. Unfortunately this is not the case anymore. The place sounds more and more like a callcentre with preset conversations and scripts. Still a good place for junior rep to start.

Fun workplace with good work culture

Sage is a fun workplace with with good job culture. It gives the employees the opportunity to decide their own work schedule. Schedule is flexible. There are opportunities to play table tennis also.

good and bad in equal measure

Large company so management varied from supportive to lacking in experience. Rarely micro managed which was great. Some of the roles could get repetitive and when asked if I could take more roles on it was acknowledged but not acted upon until I changed roles myself.

Always in a phase of transition

Feels like the strategy is always changing, compensation is on global level, so no matter how good your country does it's a collective effort. Don't do a great job of motivating non sales troops. Great benefits, flexible hours for non call centre jobs, and if you're a shiner you can really shine, but little to no advancement opportunities for the hard workers.

Good people, bad operational process assets!

it used to be pretty good in Europe though

but here in NA it is really awfull

Demanding and high pressure job. Unrealistic goals placed monthly so you never know what to expect. It was difficult to work with little support from higher ups.

Typical corporate BS. Everyone in a management or decision-making position is incompetent and expects base-level customer service to make up for it. Does not know how to please its own customers. Does not treat employees as adults, but rather as delinquent teenagers. Contractors are treated like the company's slaves. Everyone hides behind something/someone.

Software package, ERP X3 is a good package however has a lot of bugs. not enough technical support, they bill for everything, go over budget on every project, poor employee morale, lack of training, lack of management support

Sage has been a challenging place to work for many years now. Constant restructuring keeps employees on edge, resulting in a high anxiety work place. Opportunities for advancement are decreasing as they bring in outside talent rather than within.
Work loads are increasing and turnover is constant. This has been ongoing for many years.
Lack of excellent people managers due to lack of on-going training and pressure from executive leadership.
Aside from the leadership issue, the people who work at Sage our fantastic, hard working, and want to succeed. Recognition seems to have dwindled over the years, where once we had a very good recognition system and people were proud of the work they did.
Overall, Sage is in transition and this makes for an unstable work environment. Competition among campuses is apparent; there is no FAMILY feel anymore.

Generally speaking , Sage software is a great place to work with. It has very good knowledge base and fairy good training/curriculum. Company culture is also motivating employee to adjust work-life balance.

The management don't care if you're sick, they still want you to come in or it puts undue stress on other's which inturn get other's sick. No pay increase in over three years. You're hired as contract at first, which can last months and months. I received one bonus, which they put on the same cheque as your regular pay. So it didn't amount to much. You have to support multipe products with no pay increase. Unobtainable goals by management to try to get a bonus. If you dont get a bonus at the end of the year, you feel pretty bad for the next year and therefore dont try.

I wouldn't recommend working in Support

The job is relatively difficult with a fair bit of specialized knowledge in the Sage products.

The call centre is busy, expect to go from call to call with no gap between calls and dealing with customers that may have been waiting 15+ minutes.

The wage rate is low for the industry and for Vancouver and the management philosophy is to burn out employees in 2-3 years and have them move on to keep costs down. In my case, I worked there 10 years and received no pay increases or bonuses for the last five years. I finally left when I discovered that new hires were being paid more than what I was getting.

The vacation and benefits were reasonable.

The management in Atlanta don't appear to accept the reality of the Vancouver cost of living.

When I left, Sage was in the process of migrating positions from Richmond to Oregon so job security may be an issue.

Poor salary. Disposable workforce management philosophy. Cutthroat workplace morale.
