As a cook you have to work over time every day, sometimes more than allowed with out being fairly paid. You'll need to have a person of your country in upper positions to be able to grow professionally as it should be, otherwise it'll happen very slow

If u just want to save money, this job is great since food, accommodation and even toilet papers are paid by the company, I basically u can save all the money you make. But be aware it’s very fast-paced and stressful working environment because you have thousands of guests on board every week.

The idea of the job sounds nice and attractive, but that’s all about it. Travel the world on the cruise ship and see the places within the short period of time off you get, might not be for everybody. Working every day, from sailaways to dockings for several months without a day off. Company Management and Cruise guests don’t treat you as equals.

This is a really good company. The contracts I did were for 5 months straight. They flew me to the ship and put me up in a hotel till I boarded the ship. They fed me, provided a cabin to stay during the contract. I really enjoy my work at Royal Caribbean.

Working with Royal Caribbean is like living your life to the fullest, we work hard, but we party harder at crew bar plus waking up and going to different beach and wonderful destination, not to mention food is free, and getting good pay. However, because of Covid 19, no more cruising for us, but if Royal Caribbean will recall us, i will do it again.

El trabajo es duro pero recompensado.

Great for opportunities within. Difficult life on cruise ships the culture depended on the mixture of staff on the ship any given day. Sometimes it was great and the next it seemed the daily pressures instantly would change from ever changing management and staff. Ship life is not for everyone but a great experience.

As a Canadian, management treats you very unfairly, work long hours and must lie on you hours you work. Guests were great and you get compliments. Management gets vindictive. You feel like you are always on eggshells.
