I don't see myself leaving Retirement Concepts as there are 23 locations across BC , Alberta and Quebec. So there are many locations to choose from if I ever decided to relocate
Réponse du 7 octobre 2020Corporate don't care what harm comes to their staff or residents as long as they make a buck. It got go the point where my whole body hurt from the insane workload and I nearly had a nervous breakdown from the stress, and management either doesn't care or has their hands tied by corporate. Everyone is so overworked and exhausted that they go at each other's throats and bullying is extremely common and allowed. I literally felt like I was contributing to the evil in the world instead of helping anyone by working for this company. Employees constantly leave due to either mental, physical, or moral injury, which means you're constantly understaffed. I started hoping to get in a car accident on the way to work because I so desperately didn't want to be there, and don't even think about ever calling in sick unless you enjoy being yelled at and threatened.
Réponse du 3 décembre 2019All shifts are specific based on the community you work at. We are 24 hour operations so we need shifts to cover all hours.

Réponse du 3 juin 2020Dressing in an appropriate manner regardless of the role. Business casual is always a safe bet.
Réponse du 7 octobre 2020Being an employee of Retirement Concepts for 6 years and I can truly say that this company is working very hard on changing previous perceptions. We have placed a new President who is committed to making sure all staff are supported and empowered to provide the best quality care to our residents.
Réponse du 7 octobre 2020Hours depend on the position and Collective Agreement. Most management work 8 hours per day.
Réponse du 23 avril 2020The reasons are simple: 1) drastically underpay and overwork staff 2) Bullying from corporate operations, COO. HR is not qualified or certified and is only employed to discipline staff. Not a staff advocate. Shame on this unethical organization and West Coast Seniors Housing.
Réponse du 28 février 2020My role offers five sick days per year, although it may vary throughout the different roles.
