I worked in a small town and there where hardly any customers. My shifts would only be 3-4 hours long. And not many shifts through the week.I like my coworkers but i couldn't stand how slow it was there.
Very short hours
Great company to work for, very accommodating, very friendly and very kind. In comparing to all my past experiences, this job has by far been the best. Employees great at being friendly to newcomers and ensuring they learn everything they need to know about the job to be successful.

My typical work day as such, is like a regular day, I must say that work is my future and I look forward to being at work. I do have many years of experience in a diverse environment which enable me to gain adequate knowledge and experience from others. I do enjoy meeting people and travelling but a good book on my break time makes my day. We all know that challenges can happen at anytime and in any environment however, challenges is seen in my view as a learning goal. In conclusion, I look forward to any work environment, I will enjoy it.
Working towards improving my skills
Being in the right place at the right time to get a job.
This was a great place to work. They took care of their employees very well. The hours were great and the people you interacted with on a daily bases were great. The only issue working there was that the management was not willing to really work with you if you were ill.
Reitman's should have a better training for their management team as they do not deal with any situations that arise with employees, they prefer to not deal with it hoping it clears itself up.
can not think of any
schedule changes and employee's are NOT notified of change
A typical day at work includes helping the customers to find the clothes that will fit them the best and make them feel comfortable in their own skin. On slower days where there are little to no customers, the time is spent cleaning the store (i.e. re-folding clothes, dusting, vacuuming, etc.). Some days we can be tasked with re-organizing the store, either moving clothing collections to other sections or completely changing the set-up of a section. Throughout my time with the company I have learned to be productive at all times, be more confident when around unfamiliar people, and how to solve problems either on my own or with the help of a team member. The management at the store was very well done, our manager was always very organized and respected peoples needs and wishes, especially in regards to days off. Next to the manager, the other employees were always very kind and the entire store is close-knit like a family of sorts. The hardest part of the job would be on busy days where there are many customers that need attention, other employees need help, and the store needs to look presentable all at once. It did however teach me to be more efficient when it comes to multi-tasking and getting jobs done quickly. The most enjoyable part I found in the job was the relationship that was established not just between co-workers but with our customers as well. Our customers put their trust in us that we were giving them clothing choices that they would be able to enjoy over many years and feel confident in.
Flexible scheduling, friendly environment, discount on merchandise
Either too many hours given or not enough
Insightful knowledge in the fashion industry. I was able to experience and gain valuable skills in dealing with customers. strong knowledge in organization with new stock and layout of store.
employee discount, flexible hours
learned self motivation, great team of people to work with at a sales level. enjoyed working with customers the most. very diverse team, kind and become like family. hardest part of the job would be having a customer be dissatisfied with our service. Management team are understanding and work to help you achieve reasonable goals within the company and also outside.
working holidays if its in a mall
This company was fun at first, but the longer you work the more management turns on you. They made this new rule that if you work a certain amount of hours, and sell you get a small raise, but they'll give you like 3 hours a week if you're lucky. I've had shifts cancelled 2 hours (ALL THE TIME) before I was suppose to start and this was when I had to bus to work (university student) so it took at least 1 1/2 hours to get there. It would ruin your day and you couldn't really make stable plans, and you'd definitely drop your plans to grab the hours you could because you wouldn't get many! Just in general, some of the keyholders, usually just upper management really snake you in any way they can. OH. I wasn't allowed to wear toms to work, some locations do but my manager was strict lol.
50% off reitmans, hyba and additionelle.
Management sucks lol
