It was a good place to work. The manager at the time was very good about scheduling and making sure the compromise in the schedule was good for both the company and employees working there. Very professional and friendly environment!

Managers always coming and going , upper management isn’t any better. Do t care about you or give you any support . Burn you out until you quit . It’s retail so the hours suck . Too high of expectations for the wage they actually pay you which isn’t that great either .

Reitmans was fun to work at on the busy days. Interacting with all kinds of customers was the highlight of your day. The company had a lot of group goals you had to complete and that was challenging some days especially when it was dead. Managers treat you good and fair.

Fun workplace always busy on your feet for long periods but it goes by fast great team and great teamwork great fashion and if you like visual then this is the job for you got to love visual merchandising as well as a people person love customer service

I loved working at Pennington. Working a different side of retail was fun and exciting. All retail work is not the same. This had different kind of challenges and tasks. Working with cloth is diff than working with groceries. Helping out the customer and trying to meet their needs was basically the same.

50% off clothing, management was nice. All dependent on which area of the city ( the clientele)and the management you had at the store how much you like the job

No respect given to employees by management. Intellect is based on how well you do your hair and make up and how well you dress. You wont get breaks either. Loser company, lacking in all aspects. Unethical, this conpany will not care about you as an employee...do not spend your valuble time with this company. Standards will change often, sometimes daily,promotions chnage daily and you are expected to follow through with every email while running the store. Not worth the stress.

This company struggles with consistency and ethical standards. The frontline staff are undervalued and demoralized. The district manager is narcissistic and lacking in communication. Competency levels are judged based on physical appearance. Work life values are said to be of high importance but don't take holidays! The training program is lacking in consistency as if you are trained out of district you will need to retrain within your district again. Policies and procedures are used on an as need basis. Managers are abusive to staff and not held accountable. Beware of this company as it holds poor values.

The job was very fun as you speak with customers everyday and greet them. It is a typical retail sales/ customer service environment and there is a great level of satisfaction to be reached from helping clients to feel good about the clothing selections they choose. The hardest part of the job was not being able to offer style customer was looking for, as it wasn't a style the store carried.

Loved the people I worked with, however they demand the most effort for minimum wage, and gave only $0.20 of a raise after 1 year. Might as well depend on the government to raise the min wage rather than work here. Also i started getting 3 hrs/week after xmas, and while yes this is the slow season that can't even pay for my gas.

I worked for the most part receiving stock merchandise, hanging or folding clothes, steaming clothes, pricing every item in the store and setting up displays. I would also cover for fellow workers with handling the cash register and dropping off money in the safe and assisting customers. My managers were really great and approachable regarding any questions or concerns. The hardest part of the job was unpacking all of the clothing in one shift when we would receive a larger than normal shipment of merchandise. I enjoyed every part of the job.

Reitmans gave me many opportunities which I am thankful for but it would have been easier to work with people who like on another.
