Fun and Accomodating Workplace
As a university student, I worked at Reitmans throughout 4 of my 5 years studying. It was usually a fun environment to work in. Most of the managers I encountered throughout my years working there treated the staff well and I even became really close with a couple of managers. They were generally very accomodating with the demands university placed on me. My co-workers were always nice and respectful people with whom I got along really well.

pretty okay
It's pretty okay environment to work with, people are very nice (depending on who is your manager and location), no benefits unless you're working full time. It could be stressful sometimes because some managers will want you to do the most when wages aren't as good/low

Productive, Fun, Competative
Reitmans was very good to their employees. They had multiple competitions, on who can sell the most, which really encouraged us to sell more. Also, the management was kind and encouraging

Fast Paced workplace, could use better management.
Pros -Good staff training -Paid on time -Employee discounts Cons -Management -Scheduling - Did not provide resources to problems I had good experiences with the company, and made long lasting friendships. It was difficult moving up in the company due to management training.

Environment of growth
There was a lot of pressure working here for customer service. It was a little bit extreme sometimes, I think that might have just been the manager though. Customer service is important to retail, but you also need to know how to step back and allow a customer to take their time. This was not the case here and customers were often scared off by how closely we were attending to them. Other than that, great place to work, lots of room for advancement. They value their employees, which is rare.
