too consistent, shifts go by way too slow. management expects you too do everything by yourself without offering any help. great starting out job but wouldn't recccomend to anyone with any prior server experience

Worst place to work at the management doesn’t care about employees. If you work there for let’s say a year they’ll back stab you and you’ll see this constantly. Coworkers other then managers are amazing people! The work environment is stressful because the management leaves you to the wolves to get there work done. On top of that the general manager can’t figure out how to do simple things like looking up a schedule for there workers.

The typical employee is great to work with; a bit of drama between some staff members

Management fluctuates between great and awful. (4 different managers)


hardest part of job is not knowing when you work next; scheduling is posted on thurs-fri for the next monday. less than a weeks notice

Working at Red Lobster was amazing, I started as a Hostess then a little after I was doing server assistant as while. Working with amazing colleagues and also having a great management team makes it an enjoyable environment.

i have worked for red lobster for 4 years and not only have i grown up in that restaurant but my managers and staff have witnessed me grow from a high school student to almost a university graduate and have always been understanding and accommodating to all of my needs every step of the way. I am so lucky to be an employee there and for it to have been my first job was even more of a blessing. Not only is it a wonderful staff but our managers are kind and professional. Our managers ride the happy medium of being your friend and your superior and as an employee i really respect that. I Think i can speak on behalf of everyone at that restaurant when i say that we feel very safe in our value as an employee there and know that everyone has someone in the restaurant that they can confide in.

Working at Red Lobster helped me a lot with my growth, being able to mingle with different types of people around me. During my shift there are some co-workers that needed much of positive feedback to clean while they lean though i can see that they were very much helpful and nice when you needed some help. Management are not consistent enough to give feedbacks, so some of the staff doesn't know where they at on their productivity. But the good thing is, management are open for some suggestions and concerns. The hardest part of my job is stillnkeeping your positive attitude with the rest of the guests and team even with customer complaints. I enjoyed working in Red Lobster for 5 years now because i am into customer service even from the start, I'd love connecting to people. I am happy whenever my guests are happy.

Wonderfully lively atmosphere to both work and dine at!
I enjoyed meeting new people through this company, making life long friendships! The delicious food made it easy to spread the word of this fantastic restaurant!

Customer service skills are definitely required to work at Red Lobster as you deal with many different types of people every day. It can become difficult to work with so many customers, but it is manageable. The hours are good and bad as you need to work through meals and breaks depend on how busy the restaurant is, but shifts are always a good amount of hours. Working around seafood can be difficult as the smell is strong and is always surrounding you, but you get used to it. The people that work at Red Lobster are extremely friendly and are easy to get along with.

Positive coworkers in an enjoyable environment. However, management was unreliable with constant changes in the managerial staff that were unwilling to accommodate with problems and compromises. Hours constantly fluctuated each week.

A typical day at Red Lobster would be, you come in to your shift clock in, if its not busy when you first start you typically stock so when it does get busy you'll have all the things you need. When everything is stocked your serving shift goes by a lot smoother. The thing that I've learned the most is "the customer is always right" no matter what the situation is you give them what they want, with the mangers approval that is. The management is pretty good, most of them are well educated and know a lot about the company and the hospitality industry. The co-workers are some of the friendliest people I have ever met. The hardest part of the job I have to say is the schedule and the hours because nothing is guaranteed, I would love to have a set and steady schedule without worrying about my hours being cut. The most enjoyable part of this job is meeting new people, that I will always enjoy.
