It was pretty good working there. It was a long time ago that I worked there. Some of the girls were kinda catty. Manager was harsh and not very understanding. But I'm not even sure she works there anymore.

Such a wonderful environment. The staff and managers are all like family. The training is super well done. Staff are super helpful. Highly recommend for ya experienced restaurant employees.

The pay is minimum wage starting off, so can't complain, the people you work with are wonderful, until they're caught in a bad move which is often. The management depends, when I was working there, there were some great managers and some horrible ones, one that made me cry while was rolling up cutlery because I wasn't doing it fast enough. Overall, it was a decent place to work, would recommend to others, but its nothing wonderful. The best perk of the job is the discount on food, but once you stop working there, you stop eating there because the food just isn't work it at full price. Also, if you're new, count on definitely working Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Years eve and New Years day, if you have a vacation planned, you have to book that time off over a year in advance otherwise there's no guarantee.

A typical day at work involves seating and ensuring service for all guests that come through the doors. I learned how to problem solve quickly and efficiently and how to collaborate with others to get a good result.

I loved working this job, the hours were great and the management was very strong. It was never an issue to get time off and the management was very respectful of availability and made appropriate schedules. I was young compared to the rest of the workers as I started working there at only 16 but everyone was super nice and it was always a fun work environment. The hardest part of the job was when it would get very busy and customers would get frustrated with you because there would be a few hosts standing around and no one being seated but the management would always help if any situations got out of hand. The best part of the job was definitely the work environment, it was just such a fun place to work and it was very sad to leave.

if you want to make real money this job is not the place to go too. for 15$/hr this place is not something i would do ever again there are plenty jobs that pay more

good place to learn how to be a server and easy to be a host using computerized system. Management works ling hours and many employees get along and have been there for years.

Working at Red Lobster is really fun, everyone is so nice and welcoming to new staff. It's a very clean restaurant, probably one of the cleanest I've seen. Management really knows what they're doing and are always very organized, they also make sure everything is running smoothly and help keep everyone happy.

I dont get along with most of the staff but the management always acknowledge my skills so they give me more hours and always approve my requested offs.

Co-workers were always willing to lend a hand when needed during the training process as well as throughout long shifts. Costumers were very patient and understanding

No job advancement. No support from management. Poor work environment. Was not fun working here and management did not use my skills to what I deserved.

Red lobster is a great community of employees who are dedicated workers.
My overall time here has taught me how to be a good employee, they have helped me learn the ways of proper safety training, and restaurant management.

You greet guests as they arrive and show them to a table, forming a guest connection. I have learned how the Front of House works in a restaurant environment. There were Management heads for each department as well as a General Manager. Co-workers were friendly and helpful. The most enjoyable part of this job was the guests, they were from all walks of life and all had a unique and memorable story. The regulars became friends.

The most enjoyable part of the job was my co-workers and management team. The atmosphere was always a positive one.
I learned many important this from this job, such as always have a smile on your face, when in doubt speak to the manager, but most of all have fun.

My experience with this company was bitter sweet. I enjoyed working with everyone, but there are various managers with different styles and it was rather frustrating trying to please all managers. What may be acceptable for one manager may not be acceptable for another.

A typical day would begin with changing the menus from dinner to lunch (and then lunch to dinner at 3:00 pm). Clean the bathrooms, lobster tank, and general host area. Greet guests as they walk in and quote accurate wait times. Walk guests to their tables and introduce the menus and new specials. At closing, I would have to clean up the bathrooms, lobster tank, trays, booster seats and baby seats, and lock the doors.


My co-workers were fantastic and very helpful. They made going into work that much more fun and enjoyable. The hardest part about the job would be calculating accurate wait times for our guests. Sometimes our calculations were off my 10-15 minutes, sometimes even longer, but it was not my favourite to inform guests that they had to wait longer for a table.


For the most part, I am grateful and appreciative for the opportunity and it was a stepping stone for my career.

At work, I will seat, clean and make sure the guests are overall happy with their experience at Red Lobster. I learned a lot from running into negative people, encountering new challenges and finding out new things about my co workers and myself. The hardest part of my job was trying to please everyone and the most enjoyable part was meeting new people and being told I am a hard worker.
