Over staffed to the point your shifts get cut to 3 a week (if you’re lucky to get 3) and even if you work those shifts you work 3 hours or less. They essentially back you into a corner so you have to find another job to make ends meet. Management becomes so petty if this happens, they cut your shifts down even more in hopes to force you to quit. The GM’s strength is eating candy in the office and coming out to micromanage and yell at people every now and then.
Low tip out
Terrible management, no teamwork

Red Lobster is a working environment based on teamwork, and with this there are a lot of great team players that are willing to help you at any moment, because of this the integration for new employees seems very seamless
Lots of food given to employees, lots of potential to gain promotions
I’ve worked here for 7 years now. The tips are great, co-workers are the best of the best. Management leaves a lot to be desired. They will take away shifts as punishment for whatever they deem unacceptable. They go against their dress code in not allowing tattoos. We struggle to get shifts and they hire more people. They do whatever they can to improve the bottom line, despite employees needs/wants. If you can’t sell upgrades, you won’t get shifts. It’s frustrating, but the tips make it (just) bearable.
50% off food during shift
I worked here for a few years and I really enjoyed it for the most part. I started as a host and loved the management and other staff, it was a great working environment. I loved that I always had something to do, yet still had time to socialize a bit with co-workers. That being said, nearing the end of my employment, management was all over the place.

lots of money
Was almost always busy, made good money consistently. Typically section/sidework resposibilities. Great management, and advancement opportunities.
Employee discount, flexible schedule
Could only take 3 tables at a time
Red Lobster has a very family feel among its coworkers. Unfortunately as soon as they seem to have a great management system they send them away and replace them. This can be difficult as some managers give and take shifts depending on personal preference of the people they work with. And often times when management is shifty it affects the whole store negatively.
Great Experience for Fast paced environments
