Staff were amazing, pay not worth the amount of work. Making the same as you would at McDonalds does not provide enough initiative to work the many cooking stations at RL.

Half of the management doesnt have a spine and the other half is on a power trip. Short staffed on a Friday? Try short staffed every day of the week. If you're a cook there and you get into any sort of misunderstanding with a server, your entire career may be in jeopardy due to their servers being able to do no wrong in management's eyes. The people are the only thing going for them and still its not that great. Work here at your own risk.

Red lobster is a great first job or even fifth job, give you important life skills such as how to talk to people, also a super fair and friendly place to work at, won’t be disappointed.

There is little, to no, place at this restaurant for loyalty or devotion. Employees (especially what's left of the longterm ones) are treated like boxes on a survey. Shifts are hectic and assigned with little regard to work ethic or talent. Management seems clueless as to where the true successes (hard as they may be to find these days) lie, and the overall demeanour of the staff is akin to that of the crew of a sinking ship; fate accepted, wandering aimlessly amid the waves of water washing over the bow. The current company in charge has little regard for the well-being of its staff and seem content to watch their hut sink in the sand as long as the money floats in the watery edges of the mud. If you seek longterm happiness or peace of mind, seek employment elsewhere.

Red Lobster is a working environment based on teamwork, and with this there are a lot of great team players that are willing to help you at any moment, because of this the integration for new employees seems very seamless

The Windsor Red Lobster ran with precision for 30 years and then there was a change in management. The management is very weak and contributing to the decline of a wonderful restaurant. The company refused to pay their cooks a fair wage so all the best cooks went to other restaurants. The result is customers waiting ridiculous times to get their food. When it arrives some things will be missing, and others will not be not cooked properly. Also many items will arrive cold. This is not the fault of the server but of weak cooks and incompetent management who cannot even run a shift without problems. They do not order items that are needed such as bread baskets and crab crackers - so you might get something dirty just used by another table. Also the handheld credit card machines often do not work. All the SNAFUs that customers face are NOT the fault of the server. But the management refuses to take responsibility or address any of the underlying issues. Instead of taking care of problems, servers are put under a microscope, demoralized in reviews, and blamed for the poor performance of line cooks and managers. All these nightmares began with the promotion of the new General Manager. She SUCKS!!! But she is a nice lady.

Having to deal with cost cutting, management taking away workers that work a specific job but we were expected to just do that job on top of our own. i was injured at work and was verbally assaulted by the General Manager. I had to quit my job, in turn i went home and notified the labor board. I suggest you only go there to eat seafood, its a terrible place to work.

Listened to my bosses demands always without complaints and tried my best to satisfy them all with demands.
Helped cooks a lot with extra work killing lobsters faster and cooking buns and things when they needed help.


Always kept place clean and organized even with demands of management on me always.

The work can be overwhelming when you first start off but you quickly get the hang of it after a month or two. The people you work with are all kind and fun making each time you work that much more enjoyable. The hours can be unreliable though as they tend to either over hire or under schedule making it difficult to "make ends meat" at times.

Management will often do what they can to give you enough hours, though you have to ask for it as they prefer to give it to those who want it. If you're a family person they can usually work around your schedule so you have holidays and the sort off, which is nice.


The job itself is very stressful. When it gets busy you are often told to do multiple jobs at once while under staffed. And rather than getting everyone's full support and co-operation, you will find most people would rather bump heads, making work very difficult and almost impossible to focus on the task at hand.
