The typical employee is great to work with; a bit of drama between some staff members Management fluctuates between great and awful. (4 different managers) hardest part of job is not knowing when you work next; scheduling is posted on thurs-fri for the next monday. less than a weeks notice
discounted food; flexible hours
sometimes get little to no hours; scheduling posted per week; some drama
It was my first real job, I learned a lot; even did my apprenticeship here. Ended up managing. Unfortunately the restaurant industry is underpaid and you deal with a lot of kids working their first job experience.
Can be long hours
I am currently a Server at Red Lobster, the typical day includes serving customers, taking/delivering drink and food orders, light housekeeping, rolling silverware. This is easily one of the most enjoyable and rewarding jobs I have ever held. It can be a very busy place and sometimes the workload can be heavy but they have tons of online training to help and educate you along the way. The management is wonderful, they genuinely care about their employees and all the staff is extremely helpful when you are starting out or ever feeling overwhelmed during meal rushes. Very professional atmosphere but still very enjoyable, good balance.
Discounts, flexible hours, great staff and management
lots of information to learn at first, easy once you find your flow
I applied for the Host postion at the Saskatoon location of Red Lobster online, I then received an email to call the Saskatoon location for an interview, I then had TWO interviews and I expected to get a call back, NOTHING HAPPENED!!
clean restaurant, friendly servers
rude management, not even nice enough to call back about getting the postion or not
