Always busy so you make great tips. Stressful and management adds to that instead of helping to resolve issues. Took their benefits away from full time employees. Flexible enough as a part time job while in school or as a second income but not flexible about taking time off.

Over staffed to the point your shifts get cut to 3 a week (if you’re lucky to get 3) and even if you work those shifts you work 3 hours or less. They essentially back you into a corner so you have to find another job to make ends meet. Management becomes so petty if this happens, they cut your shifts down even more in hopes to force you to quit. The GM’s strength is eating candy in the office and coming out to micromanage and yell at people every now and then.

Co-workers are great, management is easy going. Close-knit culture among the staff. Fairly good place to work than most restaurants I have worked at. Normal level of stress from the environment dduring busy times

Great staff . Terrible management . Lots of favouritism. No shifts, too over staffed , no loyalty to the staff who have been there for years. everyone is miserable . STAY AWAY.

Cut you at 1.5 hours and have to leave by 2 hours. Do not pay you the 3 hours. Not legal. They hire too many staff as punishment and most of the staff besides the favourites go down to 1-2 shifts a week. The GM is not friendly, should not be in service industry. Other Red lobsters do not treat their employees like this.

My experience at red lobster is not the best. they don't look after their employees but their needs and the company! lack of shifts and support if you are part-time. always pressured to up-sell and meet daily goals. always supervised by everything you do and you dont.

the good thing about it. you make cash money out of your tips!

Working at Red Lobster was so much fun, A place where you work, Learn and grow. I worked with a great team that was very helpful and understanding. Manager was great, Always listen and treat everyone equal. I would definitely love to return to work Red Lobster if there's vacancy and will not hesitate recommending to a friend.

Manager don’t know how to balance the schedule. Hours given is not enough even to fuel your gas. As a Manager, ensure that all staff are met the hours needed though all the Servers are part timer. Not all the staff will beg / ask to give them hours because it’s Manager’s responsibility to beware of their staffs need.
And for General Manager, he also has to check their Manager if there are favoritisms in making schedules.

The work is extremely repetitive and tiresome, you don't get paid much, you don't get tips as kitchen staff. But they understand availability needs, and they work around personal life needs.

very fast pace, especially when it gets busy and there is no room for mistakes because that will set the whole team behind. learned a lot from that environment and pushed me to utilize and enhance some skills.

if you want to make real money this job is not the place to go too. for 15$/hr this place is not something i would do ever again there are plenty jobs that pay more

Good place to learn how to be a server and easy to be a host using computerized system. Polite manger and easy to get along with and great co-workers.

I always tried my best and my managers were always understanding, it was an enjoyable place to work. I learned to manage my time and master my skills to provide for the guests and was praised for when they brought it forward to my managers.

One manager was good but the rest were horrible. Micro management at it's best. Could not believe the incompetency of a so called experienced manager. would not go back working there in a million year

Management of this company is very poor. The employees where difficult to relate to and understand. Employees were treated like a number and not taken seriously.

The location I worked at had serious management issues as one year they went through 36 different managers throughout the year. Once they settled on a management team, things became much better. The staff was all very friendly, easy to get along with. Managers will mostly all willing to get in there and get their hands dirty during peak hours or if a staff was in the weeds. They sure do love their split shifts though.

The benefits were fantastic, probably the best I've had with any company (this WAS a long time ago though). Overall it was a great place to work, hence why I was there off and on for over 15 years. Managers make or break a team...

Working at Red Lobster is really fun, everyone is so nice and welcoming to new staff. It's a very clean restaurant, probably one of the cleanest I've seen. Management really knows what they're doing and are always very organized, they also make sure everything is running smoothly and help keep everyone happy.

Hardest part of the job: mangers were rude,Staff were not coming in on their time of work start, didn't give the staff the right amount of hours that they promise us.
