Terrific people work there, from the help desk to admin, but there is no plan for a new agent to join the company. You are on your own to learn alghout you have to pay a very high monthly RE/MAX fee membership, but you don't get any benefit. The nature of the job is commission-based, so without support and training, you end up with high monthly payments and no hope to get any training to help you start your business. I recommend asking any real estate company what program they have before you join them. With my new broker I have a business plan and many other benefits and lower monthly payments.
well known company
lack of training plan and high monthly cost, no start up kit
Joining RE/MAX real estate central alberta was the best move I ever made. The Realtors are self employed but the staff is salary/casual. Wonderful place to work for, flexible hours, strong management support. Family oriented so Family comes first.
Flexible Hours, minimum supervision
Some long hours but that is to be expected in the position I was in.

Treated unfair, called "just a receptionist". No chance for advancement, high expectations, a lot of taking with no giving. Long hours without compensation, talked down to. Uncomfortable work environment. This experience is office specific keep in mind.

Emplois et carrières chez RE/MAX
You are your own independent contractor. You have to put in the work, RE/Max is just the brokerage you're with. Their technology is great. 100% Commission so if you're not self-motivated, you don't get paid. Can be very hard and stressful on family life as no balance. You have to be available when your clients are available. Rewarding income if you put in the work.
This job is very flexible as it works with my schedule. The hours would be little but either daily or every other day, depending. My manager is very kind, reasonable and understanding of all situations. The job overall is very relaxed and enjoyable.
Survival of the fittest! No supports or helps...make it on your own! Real estate is an extremely competitive profession. Agent have low morale and ethics do not exist.
Long hours and no pay
Highly invested in successful business strategies, communication was very solid, dynamic atmosphere, very friendly. The employer was dedicated to succeed and offered potential compensation should the employee assist in the business success. However the compensation was always given with conditions that made it difficult to acquire.
Always included in events, sociable atmosphere
pay did not justify work
