Great place to work but it is very rigorous and structured so you have to be willing to commit. I ended up leaving because I wanted to raise my children.

i am still in training and its the best training ever. You just have to come to office and sit and work on assignment and task they give. Overall a very fun experience

Stress

High stress, low pay, pushing to sell products on a daily basis to the same customers over and over. Work past your shift and no overtime pay. Paid for our own Christmas parties

Productive and Fun workplace

The staff is fantastic and always willing to help. Helps with learning objectives. RBC is a great bank to work for and in my opinion the best. Worked at RBC for 2 years

Excellent company to work for. They care about employees and work life balance. I enjoy working here. Management is very helpful and supportive to newly recruited people

Alright but low pay and stressful. Not much room for growth within personal banking. Really all the care about it sales and not the satisfaction of the clients

Normal workplace no respect but working

Just a really normal workplace. No one really support you. Management is very weak, they need to train their management people please. Get more qualified management people please.

Work is easy and good benefits but pay is not great

Work is easy and good benefits but pay is not great . Benefits and paid vacation is the plus point. Branch culture always change depending on the Manager.

Good place to work

There's a lot of micromanaging, especially in the call centres, and there's a lot of busywork made by inefficient processes - but the training is good, people are great, the management is generally solid, and the benefits & vacation are pretty good.

Office environment

Overwhelming in the sense that there are many calls required to be taken per hour/dayMetric based salary increases, a lot of metrics in which employees are meant to meet every month and evaluated monthly and yearly basis for salary increases Vacation time 2 weeks plus extra days given by RBC 80% health care insurance

Good place to work

I like working in the organization. Lots of great opportunities, a lot of room from growth. The office environment is also very good. The peers and managers are supportive

Great staff

Team and staff made working here great. Full time position hard to get constant turnover due to that. Management has changed several times now, so who knows what it's like now.

Dealt with a lot of customers. Day always flew by. Managers give unrealistic sales expectations though.. especially in this economic climate.. clients are more looking to take out money to survive rather than invest

Monotonous and so much multitasking Management pressure to sell, sell sell. Many times stayed beyond your scheduled time for closing duties which was not compensated

Great team

Fun team, made it enjoyable everyday even though work was mundane. Training was adequate as well to start your job, rest was learned on the job. Management only cared about numbers though

Zero good things to say about them worst management they pay you $1200 biweekly and except you to do everything 3 meetings weekly just to say you have to work more and make more sales

Ok place to work, pays well for the work.

A good company that takes care of its employees. But favouritism is a problem with managers. Get in the good books and you have lots of opportunity for advancement.

Like I said, all you’re doing is solving problems, trying to get sales and dealing with some unhappy customers!

Banking

RBC overall as a company to work for is good. Just like most banks. However, branches are understaffed, good employees are leaving due to better pay at other financial institutions. The grass isn't greener on the other side, but money talks. Good employees should be rewarded to stay so they do not leave. There is a large turnaround in the Windsor are for sure.
