A lot of fun activities like take your dog to work, meditation, lunches, friday socials. There is a lot of fun being created but they need to focus more on the job and making this enjoyable

Management always standing over you, but little help offered. You were expected to keep detailed notes while you were talking to clients while you were reviewing their file while you were searching for several prospective insurance companies. Way too much multi-tasking.

I have worked really hard in my first 4 months working for KTX. They have entirely changed their training program. It is definitely more hands on, and very real life based. They have also changed the computer systems you utilize while you work. Overall, this is the best job I have ever had and I finally make enough to own a car, pay my rent, buy groceries and still have money for myself!

Great place to work...it is like a family. Catered lunches every two weeks and a lot of community outreach and support. During the pandemic we were all set up to work from home and keep things going smoothly. Feedback is always accepted with an open ear. Amazing company!

Family orientated, like being in a family, Management is A1 everything was enjoyable, there is not a bad thing I could say, there was no hard part, because management explained everything very well, and you never felt that there wasn't a questions that you couldn't asked, If the answer wasn't know, management found the answer and relayed it back to you

I would never recommend working here. Management are bullies, HR is the most unprofessional I have ever dealt with. Not understanding and VERY stressful! They will act like it is an amazing place to work when your hired but the second your in training you receive 0 support they throw you into everything not caring if you are ready or not, NO SUPPORT and management and HR are BULLIES!!!! notapproachable!!!! DO NOT work here!!!!

Takes 3-4 months to feel comfortable in the role as there is a lot to learn, great team atmosphere. Managers at all levels are down to earth and approachable. If you can handle fast pace you can be very successful. Lots of great employee initiatives, socials etc. During the Pandemic they re-directed these funds back to their staff and into the community where it was needed!

This is a typical call Center but instead of selling credit cards of phone service you will be selling insurance. They train you to use extreme scare tactics to sell insurance. Management do not care about workers and use cheesy catch phrases to get you amped up for what is the most boring profession on earth. Do not go for just RIBO because you sign a contract where you can’t use it for a year after you quit.

I was promised 8 weeks of training. I got 3 and was expected to be able to sell insurance to people. It’s disgusting that I got fired because I requested more training that they promised when they hired me. No one will help you when you have questions and talking to your team lead about needing help apparently gets you fired 1 day before your probation period is up. Thanks KTX for firing me during a pandemic

This place is a train wreck! We’re drowning in work load. It’s being run like a call centre and as brokers we don’t have time to properly care for client’s needs. Management is completely incompetent and come down on the brokers and service staff because their unrealistic numbers can’t be met and top brass is ANGRY. Hopefully once Covid eases up I can get out of this dive. OH, they’ve made bonuses almost impossible to get as well.

I love this company and the people I work with. It is the perfect environment for someone who loves a challenge and enjoys working in a sales position, although there are other jobs within the brokerage and call centre side. Great people and they are always doing things to help make our personal and work lives better. I have worked here for 6 months now and I have to say that this is the best job I have ever had. I've always said that the people you work with make or break the job and the Welland office is filled with amazing people that make the job transition as easy as possible. This job is fast-paced and certainly not for everyone but if you have the right attitude and personality you can thrive here. They provide everything you need to succeed.

Typical day at work was uploading insurance policies into a database it was fast pace and stressful. The most enjoyable part of the job is having your own personal desk and working as a team with everyone in the department.

There isn’t enough space here to go over all the negatives. Just know that you will be lied to from the day you walk in the door. However you have to, get in the door, and then hang around for a few weeks, pay attention and study hard for your RIBO. If you get your results and pass, make sure you have all your licence info for yourself, and then quit. This is the only successful route at Kanetix. The second you explain to another brokerage in the area that you only worked there for a month, they will understand and not judge you for leaving so quick. They all understand how terrible Kanetix is, but they enjoy poaching their licenced brokers.

Last call centre I will work in. Never was an outbound advisor and never want to be again. The thing that got to me is making 4th attempts with customers. Say it’s good for business when people yell and scream at you telling you to stop calling them. All they care about is your rebuttals because if people say no you still need to get them to a broker.

Getting RIBO Training and development is really good. -But to be frank T&D dept and on floor management has no proper contact. -Not enough support on floor, just a regular call centre. - they put too much stress on brokers - sales target are unrealistic -very dull working environment

They talk a good talk, but do not follow through on their word. The sales director has favorites and his leads are lazy. They dont care about your personal development after you get your license. For the amount of money that's brought in, they dont pay out. The targets are not realistic.

Good they trained for the RIBO license. But even with the training on systems you are still lost. Gave away a sale because I couldn't get a team lead to help. Some supervisors really don't know how to interact with their staff. Many staff somewhat dissatisfied.

It's a glorified call center, everything is sell, sell, sell.... Difficult targets to meet, expectations are high. Its shift work, you get what you get Lowest paid brokerage in Ontario Dirty old desk Redundant practices
