No coordination

Hired me as a plumber , told me how needed I was and how many jobs I can choose from with their app. After being hired part time evenings and weekends there were the odd jobs , they rarely gave me jobs in my area and some jobs were up to 2 hours away from my max distance I gave them . They also asked me to install shelves, garage door openers, bed frames etc which isn’t what I signed up for as a “needed”plumber. Each plumbing job I was given, I was told I needed a truck to take the old appliances (dishwashers, hot water tanks etc)they asked if I could borrow a truck also? Not in my scope of work to do , basically have to load the appliance myself and I guess keep it at my house until scrap yard opens or get rid of it myself somehow.? After I explained to them I do not have a truck or storage for peoples old appliances they stopped giving me any plumbing jobs. I have not been contacted by them since so basically not even sure if I’m still employed or they just hire and ghost employees. Very unorganized company , no communication or coordination. Don’t be taken advantage of and they’ll talk a big game before leaving you stranded.

The job seemed like perfect fit during the interview process. The manager seemed invested and seemed to be genuine but that all changed a few weeks in when I needed assistance to help guide me through the complicated and messy system they have implemented to pay and offer jobs. QC does not pay enough for amount of travel and work that is expected of you. The app that they use is controlled by work hungry manager that can add or remove jobs at his leisure. Overall work environment is very stressful and does not compensate for the years of experience a person may have also there is a lack of training on the whole process of how you book your jobs through the app i.e. setting up your work territory, booking days off etc... The overall experience at QC was unprofessional and highly unorganized. If you are sucked in during the interview process, good luck on navigating your way through mess of QC. Also you will need to use your own vehicle and will never be reimbursed for the actual cost of fuel or maintenance. Good luck. Profit over people = Poor company

Came to this company with promises of so many thingsManagement puts you in a position to fail when you question there ways Bring forward concerns and I’m left completely unheardHonestly, don’t waste your time. Looking now I am finding this is the lowest paying company for the role we are in. Al my coworkers and myself are looking for other employment opportunities The way they speak about there technicians (management) they don’t deserve to have them.It’s absolutely mind boggling how saving Pennie’s is more important then techs and employees

They lied about what you can expect in salary , the salary is so inconsistent you can barely pay your bills . Head office does nothing to support you when you have issues in store with their lazy employees . All they do in head office is book your store visit and your are basically on your own .

Super disorganized company. Horrible to deal with from a customer POV. Customers always complaining about the amount of time it took for the company to communicate with them. Customers must pre-pay for services, before a company rep even looks at their job, at which point can take weeks for someone to show up. This company is a disaster. Avoid at all costs.

Great opportunity to learn by doing different tasks every day. Management is super disorganized, jobs underpaid and you have to fight to keep the pricing to stay within set original price list. Travel out of town is required and not reimbursed properly. Pay stubs intentionally misleading, everything lumped together in one number, so hard to track what is what. Prepare to be bullied by the upper echelon of management even though without you, field worker, the actual work that customer pays for, will not be completed and no one will get paid.

Staff was helpful when you called, for the most part it ran good.If you have a good partner, which I did its easy to work out travel or lunch arrangements.Its a small crew so low pressure work environment.I liked it.

Fine for making a few bucks in between jobs, unsustainable for the long term

This job is best used as an inbetween job until you get a better one. Depending on what exactly you are building, and in which store you could make great money, or it could be bad (lawn mower inspection pays really well and takes very little time to do, BBQ assembly can be very tedious and take up a lot of time). You can work at your own pace (I just listened to music or audiobooks while i worked). During the spring work is steady, but it does slow down. You can go from working 10 hours a day everyday to a couple hours a week, with no guarantee of work. As others have mentioned, you are a contractor so you need to take taxes off yourself. The other side of that coin, is that you can take off as much time as you want. Some days I left early to hang out with friends or run errands. A few times I took 4-5 days off at a time and nobody said a thing. As long as you get the most urgent stuff done, nobody really cares exactly how much you work.If you end up working out of town, they do pay mileage but not driving time.

You won't ever feel 'stuck' at QuickContractors. There can be a lot of work to do at times and prioritizing can become difficult, however, the company is in expansion and there are always new roles and positions opening up. Management is open to suggestions and adjusting your tasks. Although we work from home, the culture is extremely collaborative.Like any job, there are easy days and tough days. If you ask for support, you will get it.

The day to day. You need to be strong minded to work here. Sitting back is something that just isn’t possible, it’s pedal to the medal at all times, catch your breath at lunch time and then you go back at it! The company is always building infrastructure and over time it is improving process and introducing tools to make our jobs easier. While the growth has been remarkable, the company is on the cusp of further growth and everyone current on board is coming along for the ride.

I really liked the fact that my paycheck wasn't limited if I worked faster or extra days I could make more money.. my hourly rate is an avg 40$ hr and some days alot more. I have some flexibility in my schedule which was a huge plus. Overall I'm super happy been here a month now.

I was told I would work and had to wait 1 month to be scheduled and finally only made 1/6th of what I was supposed to do on that day and eventually was told that this job was only to supplement my income. Not only this but my pay receipt says I will be paid in one month (making it 2 months before I receive any money) and now one so far after two days has told me when I will et paid officially. Not only that, but my pay receipt says I need to upload a waiver, again after 2 days no one has responded in order to explain how to officially get paid. All in all, I loved the idea of the job but it seems unrealistic where I live as there is not enough demand.

Easy jobs, part time work whenever you want. But the items you assemble contain a lot of time to assemble. Easy assemblies but if you are not rushing to assemble them you make $10/hr sometimes. Not worth the pay in my opinion. Plus you are not taxed with pay, so at the end of the year subtract 30% of what you make to pay come tax season.

I did the assembly work, and yeah it's fast paced and it's physical too, but there is a ton of work and you can make over 40.00 an hour if you are fast. Or more, like some things are so fast to build there was days where I made 150.00 and hour. I did this for a while, and I loved it. I think those complaining mostly just want to chill out at work, guess what, it's piece work so actually need to get up and do something to earn a good wage. If you are lazy and want to sit back and get an hourly wage this isn't for you. If you want to work, these guys will keep you busy.
