Generally good atmosphere. Management is supportive. Culture is positive. Company is doing well; You may have seen their ads on television. Not unusual for pizza lunches to happen if all is going well.

Very frendly and easy-going environment. Despite the heavy workload, everyone was supportive, helpful, and friendly. There was enough independence and flexibility to let you get the job done right.

Feels up and coming, lots of great buzz and good people. Leadership changes direction frequently and is not as mature as the company needs to sustain it's growth.

Poor Management, Work life balance, Fun place to work, Never get tired of work, People are more helpful and nice. I enjoyed working in Questrade. But job security is a big problem there.

In call center, the pay is pretty fair as an entry level role. Management is not bad but only promote their favouriable people, or reletives of existing staff. Hard to find grow opportuinty inside the company even with certificates.

lesser staff number, due to high turn-over.

They hire/release people on a continuous base.


Good for contracting and not for full-time, since anytime they release people, due to strict upper management and their conservative

style. empowering staff.


No room for advancement, as the company is restrictive.


Does not concentrate on the people side.

Diversity and respect:Most ethnic backgrounds are Russian/Armenian and mainly one faith.

If you are from other culture/faith, expect to hear statements and feel uncomfortable.

You cannot celebrate Christmas or Diwali for example.


They release people for no apparent reason.

The CIO is't knowledgable and doesn't consider the team. They have a great platform and most people are fantastic to work with but the management needs to focus more on their people.

Business folks have a good understanding in terms of what they want to achieve, however, there is a big gap in technology strategy, especially in management in technology side struggle every day. They have difficulty to stay focused on a plan.
In general, non-management team folks are very knowledgeable with strong experience to do there job.

Great people you will be working with there, it felt like a family and people treat each other with respect in the sales team. I loved working there. For a newly graduate, their pay was not bad with commission on top. This is 7 years ago, not sure how things are now, but with their culture, I'm sure it's even better now. Too bad, this is not a field that I want to stick at, or else I wouldn't mind working for this company all my life.

Relaxed environment, helpful staff, pitiful pay. The only reason to take the position is if you can not find any other place of financial CSR employment.

management needs to be more fare in promotions, staff are good to work with. i have shared allot of my past experiences to better the daily production in the department with little acknowledgement, they need to learn to recognize these achievements. work place culture is good as they are open and accepting to all. Hardest part of the job was trying to get my ideas implemented due to favoritism with others. I enjoyed working with others and learning new aspects of what the job required

Questrade is definitely a place for young people just starting their careers. It's all exciting in the beginning until you realize you're taken for granted, not valued and are expected to work harder, take on more responsibilities and be okay with just a pat on the back.

There is a lack of transparency from the senior management team and this has caused a lot of turnover and resulted in employee dissatisfaction across the company.


The organic company culture that once was, no longer exists and most of the people I know there, can't wait to get out.


Advise to management- take care of your employees, invest in them and they will be loyal.
