The best part about PwC is the people, youthful environment and flexibility. The company does demand a lot though, and there is often a requirement to work overtime in busy periods.

I am an experienced professional with 4 years of banking experience. This place is good to work with all the leverages we get but poorly managed. You are treated low because you are an associate and only managers are well respected. The work is very base and not at all challenging. The experience will surely boost your resume.

Unprofessional Assurance Managers at PwC London SDC

Assurance Managers at PwC London SDC are highly unprofessional. They don't have experience working in a corporate environment. They'll treat you like they own you. Senior Management is not even bothered to oversee their work. They hired them as technical managers but they act like admin managers. Environment is super political. Managers and Director promotes favoritism. They'll just assign you work and don't provide you any kind of help with that. They don't even know what assurance is. They find excuses to fire you. I WON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO PEOPLE

Poor Management of Assurance Department- Unprofessional and Non Skilled Managers - No Growth

i am working as an Assurance Supervisor at PwC Canada London SDC. There is no professional growth. Managers usually hire people who are their friends. Salary is super low. If you are diploma holder with 1 or less year of experience, this is a good place to start your career but don't expect that you'll be promoted to a senior position with good salary within 7-8 years. Employee turnover is 92% because of low salary. There is one confusion among people who are doing CPA that they can count working hours towards their CPA hours, this is not the case. CPA Ontario doesn't approve London SDC hours towards CPA as this place is supposed to work on admin stuff related to assurance and tax instead of actual work.
Assurance Managers and Directors don't value the work you do.

Generally good. Threw new hires in the deep end because there was no time to provide training for a certain new project. That is my only complain. Need to improve their management because ineffective management tends to happen the bigger a company gets.

Bad company - low pay - little advancement opportunities
Tax Processing Specialist/Tax Data Specialist (Employé actuel) –  London, ON30 juin 2017
A tax processing specialist at the london ontario SDC is only a good position to start in if you have no work experience and want something on your resume. This is a very boring and administrative based position. If you come from an accounting background, I would advise you to not take the position as you will be bored the first week into the job.

The management and HR at this place has SO MANY PROBLEMS. Don't expect to be treated well here. Since this is a job that anyone can do, management will advance those who are their favourites.

The culture is pretty bad. Many people are not happy and therefore the place is not enjoyable to be in everyday. You will start living for the weekend.

You will be working 60-70 hours a week during busy and this is not a choice. You will not have a life outside of work. The pay is very low but lots of overtime from Feb - Apr if that is what your looking for.

Team leader was very immature which made it very hard to any mature employee to find a balance or even security. If the leader(s) didn't appreciate you, you had no chances within the company. For a "successful" company, you would think that they would hire better leaderships. (not the kind that would talk behind your back).

Overall good but admin, management and technical team do not work in coordinated way, in which case your work performance will not be evaluated perfectly. Also, in London Ontario, they don't even have enough seating facility so you will be confined into a training room with no proper working desk at all.

The Worst Company - Extremley Low Pay - Poor management

As much as I liked the job, the environment was one of the worst places, where negativity exists in every corner. Staff are in control of the entire situation. Some staff are unprofessional and swearing all the time at each other, which makes it really distracting to work around your team. Management does not care about the attitude of the employee.

They provide extensive training for three weeks with minimum practice. Yet, they judge you for making a small mistake, meanwhile their manuals are not written correctly and missing a lot of important information.

Appreciation is given to their favorite people, which creates a lot of conflict between other staff.

Salary is way too low for experienced / educated people. You would neglect this part if you feel you are a part of the team and welcomed in the company.

My advise to you, RUN AWAY as soon as you feel all of the above.

Managing two contrasting teams I learnt the importance of listening to the needs of the business and their requirements to ensure my team could work towards these.
My co-workers were fantastic and I helped create a network in the office where people enjoyed the culture.
