Increase of salary every year is based on performance level but still based with the store manager assigned in the store approval not who is the assigned manager/handling/ reporting you with and knows your performance in your department. If she doesn’t know you, you didn’t get anything even though recommended by your superior. Your salary will be stuck not until government increase mandatory.

Very well established business, amazing co-workers! This makes coming to work easier. Best HR department I have encountered. Upscale experience of foods and cultures.
Fixed hours. Great staff.
New management was awful. All talk no work.
Managers dont know how to manage they dont do any work. Half of the price labels are missing in the store things are not scanning and no one knows the prices for things. They want to run high end businesses but they dont even have bags and cutlery, according to them they dont fit in the budget. Same problems almost every week. If they continue to have managers like these run their stores for sure they will go bankrupt. And they are filthy owners should go inside the food stations and see open your eyes your stores are disgusting
I am not sure what to really say, its not the worst job. It is retail after all. I recommend getting in only if you need to pay bills, career wise there is not much room for movement so if you are looking beyond store level I wish you best of luck. (Head office is basically downsized) Currently many of the head office types are jumping ship (20+ year types) and it makes you wonder... sales have been down significantly from previous years and the amount of labor used is being paid for in ways I absolutely cannot answer. Oakville closed last year, next is Sherway for sure, and I would not be shocked to see Queen go. Workplace culture is one of favoritism, through and through. Benefits are for full time only and kick in after 6 months. Vacations are always unpaid, you do not have a choice in getting paid out in every paycheck...so if you are not a great saver, you will hurt if you take time off. Tons of frill and little to no substance. If you're a numbers person, they care about margins and not volume. Hopefully someone figures out that overcharging 50% on something that does not sell still nets you a margin of 0.
its a job.

Managers treat employees unfairly unless they favor certain people. People that work very hard are treated with no respect at all.
Never work for Pusateris, the magaers use you and don't care about you. They only want the employees to make them look good and cover for them and at the end of the day they treat you like garbage.
If they could treat you any worst they would. Work you like a slave then tell you that you can’t be off sick, or punish you when you call in sick. Raise of .75 cents after 6 years.

Cut your hours when they want, cut you from the schedule, daily harassment, treated poorly, no room for advancement, no raises after many years
A typical day consisted of stocking items, especially drinks for guests coming to purchase lunch. The store was arranged in a very hectic manner, and it could have been set up in a more functional format. Spacing was limited, and overall it was not an enjoyable workspace. Your work uniform is white, the receiving bay is practically 200 years ago and quite dirty/dusty, and I was required to go down there almost every shift, and you are required to purchase/clean your own uniform(s). Pusateri's is a Loblaw's in the making.
Horrendous workspace layout.
Pusateri's is a cool place to work. The location is good in a busy shopping mall so it is always busy and there is always something to do. You will never be bored.
Long hours with minimal breaks, and under staffed
great place to work, friendly staff and customers. They are flexible and willing to work with you. Very happy work environment. Serving great tasting prepared hotmeals.
Breaks and lunch time break.
Small dishwashing space.
