Opportunity for driven mechanically inclined individuals
Regional Manager (Employé actuel) –  Toronto, ON23 février 2017
Profix has been a steady and secure place of employment for over several years now for myself.
If you are driven to be active and take the time to hone your skills when you are introduced to the job you can greatly excel.
The business model allows for the company to continue to grow and there is high potential for advancement here as new positions are constantly opening.
The bi-weekly pay schedule and piece work allows you to perfectly calculate what you will be paid, the benefit of this is that you can strive for greater earnings on your day to day work giving YOU complete control over your own pay. You get back the effort and skill you put in.
There is training availible at all stages of employment here, when you make money Profix makes money. Therefore better training has been implemented over the course of the company's excistnce to help the technicians be successful. In the Greater Toronto Area help is readily available during all buisness hours.
The flexible schedule allows you to work as often as you please, the downside to the flexibility is it's often when people are left to their own devices they tend to fall into patterns of coming in late and leaving early. This is greatly impact your pay, discipline is an important key to success.
Overall I would recommend working here if you are discipline and motivated with an open mind to learn.
Points positifs
Flexible, Paid Training, Relaxed Atmosphere
Points négatifs
Requires discipline

great company if you have a very reliable car
Assembly Technician (Ancien employé) –  Ontario9 février 2017
Great company, piece work only however there was the ability to write your own pay check, Management was great and would reccomend anyone that has the skills to work with them to do so however Profix lost my local accounts to a more cost effective competitor and was forced to drive to such locations as Leamington, Windsor to start my day, 2 hour+ drive there and back, unfortunately my van died as of the serious back to back KM. Regardless I would still be working with them if I had a reliable car. However we now have family members that require more care so this was no longer viable
Points positifs
Piece work
Points négatifs

Great Student Job
Bicycle, Auto, Equipment Technician (Employé actuel) –  Ottawa South, ON25 mars 2016
Great job for people who want flexible hours and work independently. A typical day at work includes arriving at the location, getting briefed about what bikes/furniture to build, then building the items. All of the employees are generally very friendly. The hardest part of the job is managing your time wisely. This is piece work so if you build slow you might find it challenging. However, because it is piece work, this means that you can get paid a lot of money in a short time period if you work fast.
Points positifs
Flexible hours, helpful HR team, good pay, fun work
Points négatifs
Long commutes, initial tool investments

Bike Technician
Technician (Ancien employé) –  Pointe-Claire, QC3 septembre 2014
They train you to become a good bike technician and it is up to you to better your skills. The job is worked off of commission and sometimes hourly wages. When they send you to Canadian Tires or Walmart to either do some bike assembles or repairs, you know that you'll be working off of 100% commission. If you are sent there to build furniture and/or other appliances that the manager asks for, then you know you'll be making an hourly wage. it's a great job but the one thing that sucks is that they send you everywhere.....places that are extremely far.
Points positifs
Discounts at a local skateshop
Points négatifs
sends you to far places if you say you have a car.

Worst Job
Company Representative (Employé actuel) –  Ottawa, ON1 mars 2013
This has been my worse job to date as I have not been given many hours. Also the lack of training has made it hard to understand certain aspects of the mechanical process involved in day-day work.
Points positifs
learn how to build things
Points négatifs
no hours, low income
