We worked hard but there was time for fun. Team get togethers were fun. Benefits were good. Flexibility was nice too. Team meetings at shift start to keep everyone informed.
Employee discount, events with food, contests/challenges, training
Princess auto was my second job ever. The first 3-4 Months were amazing and didn’t have many problems. I was given opportunities to show my worth and able to put a lot of work in to get another position in the store due to the need cause of Covid. Once there’s was a new hiring of a high up manager, things started to take a turn and it became a very toxic place to work and very biased based on who you were. I loved my fellow coworkers there but the management was the reasoning in why I left and the carefree attitude they had.
Good Relationships, Decent Break time’s
Management, Lack of responsibility upheld
The team members run the building while the team leaders are hiding in the office and joking around while the team members are running around helping lazy team leaders never seen a place that has meetings every week don't bother asking the team leaders to get your back they never respond to your pages when they do it's too late and to much with some team members with Favortism to the team leaders and the air quality is dusty and dirty who knows when there vents were cleaned with the pipes if you look up in the vent you can see all the dust and dirt

Coworkers are great, Management are bullies and take advantage of staff every chance they get. They are quite clear that you are there to do their bidding and it does not mater what you think. That is what they call a team environment. It is not a difficult job, but the bullying makes it hard.
Management does not care about staff
i worked there for over 4 years and it was fantastic for the first little bit but then there was a shift in management and it went down hill from there. you are not respected you are constantly yelled at for not doing things right or if it is not done the way that they wanted it done. the managers do not understand that the employees get busy so that not all task get done on time because customers come first, well at least that is what we thought when in fact i personally myself have been told to stop talking to a customer and stock shelves. also certain mangers are sexist if they see a young girl working with a customer talking about something that is not considered girly like a air compressor we are told to get on cash and to get a man to help the customer. everyone is cranky and immature and there is a lot of drama. there are some employees that are fantastic but the management is just terrible.
While my boss was nice, the team of supervisors were biased, chose favourites, and overall would let some people get away with murder (longer breaks, not doing their work, talking badly about other team members, ect.), and would even take long breaks themselves, were late continuously, and we're generally not very approachable, though they claimed to be. As a company, their views and outlook are wonderful, and I felt supported and backed by the company as a whole, but the team leaders in there need some work, because they are all too immature and don't seem to care about what they're doing unless the boss is watching. Raising concerns never gets anything done, and people get away with way too much here.
Generally pays well, benefits are pretty alright, some team members treat you well.
Authorities pick favourites, unapproachable, insufficient training.
I've worked with Princess Auto since January, 2017 and I absolutely love it here! I have currently transferred from the brantford store to the Mississauga store and I still love the job. Great atmosphere and great people to work with.
poorly staffed sometimes
Usually a flexible day. I learned a lot about certain products our stores were selling. Management are pretty straight forward and are helpful. Co-workers were great at team work and a lot of support when needing help.Hardest part of the job is keeping up with the customers coming through. The most enjoyable part of the job are the Christmas dinners Learned a lot about customer service and cashier and time work! overall great Experience.
Not enough Hours
most of the staff were great to work with, management changed and the staff morale dropped quickly.First 6 years were great, they cared about their staff, but things changed. Not sure if changes were from head office or in store management. They had great benefits and profit sharing. This used to be a great place to work, but not so much any more. I quit in December, and do not regret it.
