Specialty retailer with a lot of franchisees and an engaged store team. Business model is strong with strong analytic and financial discipline. Buying team really knew their product and pets. Long but relatively fun hours. But not great leadership with no real team building and seemingly less engaged leaders.
In-house IT team, strong and dedicated associates
Working at PetValu was very nice, I got to work with domestic pets which was very enjoyable. The store was small and not ever too packed. I also enjoyed working with the customers and not having a very strict environment. I also learned a lot about working inside an environment where I did not have a specific job, so I gained more learning experience and working with animals. The hours were also very nice, because it's very simple to open and close the stores.
management often aloof and unsure of what day to day looks like for other employees. Clear goals were not set, but expectation revealed after job complete. Often did not know how well you were doing until job nearly finished.
Easygoing with hours
will not review performance honestly
Pet Valu HelpDesk is a very friendly environment to work in. It can get pretty intense with the call volume and technical issues therefore, to have a comfortable environment around you makes things less stressful. People are always greeting one another and assisting with difficult issues. We consider ourselves to be more of a team than anything else. Leadership always plays a role in the work environment and this helps others stay motivated and disciplined in the workplace.

- A typical day at work would be meeting deadlines for biweekly invoice pay dates and other projects. - From my first day at work, I learned how to perform various task according to priorities. - Management and co-workers work closely together to resolve problems and issues. - The hardest and most enjoyable part of the job is getting the work done at the end of the day or week
seasonal get together parties, like our annual summer barbecue

Opportunity to do others duties Keep myself busy Efficient Friendly Scan copy not connected to my email ID Coding, matching, batching, entering, generating payment
Flexible lunch hours
A typical day involved looking at KPIs and identifying potential drivers, together with the necessary analysis ( data scrubbing) that goes with this.
