Not a company to work for

Its an alright job but if you like being discriminated then go ahead. The company advertises that you get full time hours but in reality you do not. They expect you to be by your phone all the time and when they call you they do not like it if you turn them down. The only way for this company to get better is to get rid of the every single person in management and get real ones in. You get no help and if you bring calls back that you are not able to finish for the day they tell you that its unacceptable. The contract that is written within the union is very poor and it only protects the company and not the worker(s). My suggestion is to stay away from this company.

Extremely toxic work environment

Very toxic company to work for, riddled with discrimination, favortism, and reverse sexism. They would go above and beyond to rid of unwanted employees to the extent of forging documents and facts or commiting illegal act; athough those employees that they wanna get rid of would be high performaners. PepsiCo is a den of thieves and vipers that have no honor nor credibility. A band of backstabbing weasels that don't have ethics or morals. Currently, The company is struggling with the changes happening in the market place. They reduced the percentage of commission, fired hundreds of managers, and keep cutting pay and increasing work load. PepsiCo redefined slavery to fit our modern day. When you sign your contract, it's like selling your soul to the Devil...

Didn’t like working for them

To much harassment, always getting yelled at for absolutely no reason at all. Supervisors that treat everyone with disrespect. And a boss that doesn’t know how to run his own company.

Lots of work to be done

Work at Pepsi takes dedication and commitment. There is always a lot of work to do; for the full time employee there are busy seasons and then there are the BUSY seasons. The company vehicles are maintained fairly well, equipment is satisfactory, pay is decent. Most of the work out in the field is done by individuals but sometimes there is teamwork. Drivers work alone, chase merchandisers mostly work alone, warehouse works as a team building orders. Workplace culture and management of work load/time could be better, more team work would benefit all employees and raise personnel job satisfaction. The hardest part of the job is the amount of lifting involved over the long days while safely navigating around the general public.

Very lonely job

The pay and benefits are good. No advancement unless you are a chosen one. Boring job nonetheless- work solo filling chips day in and day out. Management is generally about themselves and what makes them look good.

great for students

The job on paper is fantastic and for the most part it is. management is always willing to be flexible if possible. the job its self is quite boring but it does pay well and doesn't ask for a lot. being willing to be patient with customers is a must as most dont understand that you do not work in the stores and may get frustrated.

Horrible place to work

Horrible place to work. Management turns employees against each other. They make up attendance contest and don’t go through with the prize promises. They offer lieu days and don’t pay them out. They got off on writing their employee up and the Union is no help.

Horrible place to work Fritos lays laval

Management got nasty and started making life difficult for me when they found out I was pregnant. Forced me to leave in a legal manner, by switching me to hours they knew I couldn't work therefore forcing me to quit. Not before they belittled me and made me cry by ganging up on me in a meeting that they held to make sure I knew nothing that had happened leading up to this was their fault but my own. Horrible place to work for a women who has a family or wants to start a family while working there. BUT the women who don't work on the wearhouse who sit at desks all day are aloud to start material leave right away. Where is the sense in that !?

Motivated and engaged workforce.

Very professional workplace with high standards. The hardest part was holding each other accountable regardless of circumstances. The culture is driven by KPI management.

Poor Work Life Balance

Drive around and deal with unhappy customers, then hear from unhappy managers from Pepsi, doesn't pay overtime. Only positives are good benefits and salary.

A very energetic and productive work environment.

Every day was different, met many great people throughout the day. Great experience building displays, merchandising product and learning much about the industry. Management was good along with fellow employees. For those who aren't afraid to keep busy, its easy money to be made and a great way to keep oneself active.

Negative work environment and lacks culture

Work here used to be fun and there was a solid culture in place. People were respected and the company took care of its employees and ensured that people were happy. Over the last few years there has been a drastic change in the way the company operates. No one listens when there is problems - it always comes to down to people not working hard enough. Doesn’t matter if the execution plans to hit an astronomical target are lacking in customer support or are just simply unrealistic - “you’re just not working hard enough!”. The fingers are always pointed to the frontline and their perceived “inability to execute”, no one higher level is ever really held accountable for improper or flaky communication, or for a lack of clear direction. “Control what you control” is uttered 10 times daily by every manager and employee. The company loves to do a million things really poorly instead of focusing on a few key things and doing them very well. The majority of retail customers the frontline have to deal with on a daily basis are miserable and awful to PepsiCo employees. The grocery industry is not a happy place - I don’t know anyone that actually loves working in it or around it. This will not change...ever. Not PepsiCo’s fault but if you’re reading this and searching for a job in the industry, it’s important to know this. Not everyone is miserable, but there are a lot of them and trust me, just a single encounter with one can ruin your whole day. And you will encounter at least one person like this, per day if you are working in the retail grocery stores. As a rep or vendor you -
