jobs good. training is a bit brief and breaks are short but outside of that you catch on quick management is nice, and once you get past your first week or two it’s great.

Management is not great in warehouse

Management was constantly changing and was a complete mess. No one seemed to know what they were doing but pretended like they did which just lead to more issues and blaming workers for there lack of knowledge. I have several friends in manufacturing and they say the management team is fantastic so it really depends what job you are doing.

Crew was ok, management is age biased and had poor communication.

In the time I was there, all new hires and promotions were given to people under 30, in many cases with little to no prior expectance. The old experienced crew was a decent bunch of guys, but when they started getting passed up for better shifts or promotions for kids with little experience they started leaving, including myself. I applied for different positions twice, and both times my interview was conveniently postponed, a time or two, then forgotten. Then both positions were filled by people in their 20's, one of which was a new hire.

Points positifs

Pay was ok, work clothes discount at Mark's.

Points négatifs

Poor communication, and as stated clearly biased management.

Horrible place to work

I liked it at first, it isn't a very hard job, but the nights were long. I worked Saturday-Monday 7pm to 7am. Sometimes you'd start out your shift with absolutely no work, you'd be standing around for an hour or two doing nothing. Usually you'd run our of work between 2:30am-3:30am. You'd clean and audit your area and you'd be free to go home, if you wanted to lose pay. You'd be so bored though you'd give in and leave because there was no work. After a few months there though you start to see how bad management is. They sit in their little command area and do nothing. You'd run out of the most popular chips and you'd have to suspend boxes until you'd get product. It was an all night, every night thing. You'd get PSL angry at you because you'd have a boatload of suspended boxes and trucks wouldn't be able to leave because they don't have all the product . If management didn't like you, they place you places they knew you didn't like much. My coworkers were great though. God forbid you miss a shift or two though for family emergencies. You'll end up fired a few weeks before your 6 months. This is your warning to not work at Frito-Lay/PepisCo

Great co-workers, fast paced

Warehouse fast paced and timed, conveyor belts to trailers kept jamming up, great co-workers. Training for fork-lifts. Management helpful and easy to talk with. Discount on product once a week. Loading trailers good work out , cold in winter hot in summer.

Points positifs

Cheap chips

Points négatifs

Breakdowns on belts

Good seasonal work but no advancements

Shift work. Unless your contract states you'll be working a specific set of shifts throughout. Steady workdays with role rotations with your work partner for the day. It definitely helps beat the monotony. Friendly coworker community. Management is stiff and not easily approachable. Pay was very good at the time. No room for advancement though. They toss their seasonal workers away and only pick their favourites to learn forklift. Also, if you didn't maintain an average pace of numbers they expected you to meet, you'd get canned.

Good wage. Stable job. Management not good. Job culture needs improvement.

They start with $19.04 per hour for new hires which is good for a warehouse. They stick the newbies in the worst departments. Either night shift or repack. Repack has one of the most toxic management and certain workers who feel entitled. Job turnover is pretty high. Physical and demanding work. Sometimes boring just standing and folding cardboard. Benefits after 740 hours work and no advancement until you're one year in. Good for short term income and good for long haul if you want to be part of union and have seniority.

Points positifs

Free chips. Discount chips

Points négatifs

Physically demanding. Very social environment.

Productive and fun workplace with chances for promotion

Would definitely recommend this workplace to other people looking for a relaxed environment with chances to move up within the company for how hard you work.

Stressful work culture

Very stressful job and physically tiring, repetitive work, long nights but the only nice thing about the job is the pay if you looking to make some money the jobs for you otherwise look for something else trust me you will not regret it

Clean, but tough job

Proper training but hard to keep up with quotas. Breaks are only 10 mins and lunch is 20. So constantly on your feet and very physically demanding. Most jobs require a lot of repetitive work. You should be prepared to work hard for 12 hours or 8 hours with overtime. Co workers I met were nice people.

It’s okay, for temporary work.

No rotation between your department. Consistently doing the same tasks, same work, in the same station every shift.- but promised rotation daily. .. Some team leaders are very rude, very unapproachable.

Points positifs

Pay, weekly pay

Points négatifs

No rotation, unapproachable management

Not an enjoyable experience

Literally terrible, night shifts, managment only cared about kissing butt of higher ups. only cared about the company, no work culture. They didnt care about what days you needed off, only cared for work getting done.

7.3/10 for how i felt about working there

They were decently efficient but could use more staff to handle sick days, the people who actually showed up for work had twice the workload for the same length of work day and the same pay

divided culture between older and younger employees

- Part time workers generally don't have too much say on when they want to work. - Management is generally young and filled with book smarts, not life experience.

Points positifs

None

Points négatifs

Managers favour staff who are like friends

The absolute honest Pepsico Frito Lay Review

Oh Pepsico Fritolay, where do we begin? So at first working in this “finely established” “rich and fun” “professional” organization you tend to think, hmm this place isn’t have bad, getting good hours having good trainers, but then you slowly come to a realization that this place, this place is absolute garbage. They treat you like a robot over working you and not paying you a dime extra, constantly sizing you up against eachother like you’re in some type of competition, yet you dont get paid for extra by doing any extra work. Which YES at other companies if you do more then the average you get paid an extra bit of money at the end of the day, depending on how much more you do. Which brings me to this, if you go out of your way all the time and constantly do more then an average employee is supposed to do, like take leadership on the floor, pull out bulk trucks, plug them in, clean up the facility to a tee, train peers how to safely and effectively do the job properly ( BECAUSE YES THERE IS A PROPER WAY TO DO THE JOB example Picking up your boards, pulling porduct up, NOT clocking in and out of job codes to make your rates faster, actually doing the job how its meant to be done.) they dont care they just look at you like some idiot and may take shifts away from you just because they may not like you, well sorry your HR idiot may not like you. also picking more cases then Your supposed to, they just reward you with more cases the next day. This place also loves to choose favorites, especially if you know how to kiss butt and ride the managers croch. If your good at doing that -

Points positifs

The people

Points négatifs

The management is corrupt

Lots of work, managers don't care

Easy to finesse. Managers don't care if you go above and beyond so it is not necessary to try hard. Don't over exert yourself for no reason because they will just make you work more.

Great company

PepsiCo is a great company to work for, lots of benefits to being employed there. the crew is amazing and same with the management. If only I were off nights, life would be good!

Horrible place to work for students

Students are paid less than half of the other employees and do the most work. They do not care about the students. Force you to work in 30 degree weather and time your every move.

Tough place to work but decent compensation

Long term employees hold much clout and their transgressions are met with indifference but while the work is hard the compensation package is good. Typical day at work is giving an assigned amount of cases of chips to pick and load onto trucks, enough work to last 8 hours.

Points positifs

Good Compensation

Points négatifs

Long Hours
