Poorly managed , disorganized ,
Labourer/Equipment Operator (Ancien employé) –  Fort St. John, BC5 août 2019
So poorly managed its unreal. We couldn't get tools , wear parts or even bolts to carry on with our work. Safety turns a blind eye to incidents , and there seems to be zero repercusions for continual infractions.

Lack of leadership.
Equipment operator (Ancien employé) –  Fort St. John, BC3 août 2019
Some foreman are great, have lots of knowledge and work well with the crews, but are held back by upper management that don't know better. And other forman are clueless and having a power trip, and have no respect for the crew they are running.

Haul/Rock Truck Driver (Ancien employé) –  Fort St. John, BC4 juillet 2019
Worked for them for a year and got laid off. Was told layoffs would be around 2 months. Well 6 months later they call me but they kept all their friends working. Don't matter if you are a hard worker, reliable, safe and responsible cause if you didn't kiss up then you were gone

Toxic work environment
Procurement Specialist/ Buyer (Ancien employé) –  Fort St. John, BC13 mai 2019
The company has no structure and has created an environment where no one has job security so everyone is looking out for themselves. There is no camaraderie between teams, you are constantly looking over your shoulder. Very stressful and they definitely give you more work than you can handle to keep you so busy you can't even look up. If you value your health and sanity I do not recommend this employer.

Horrible management
Tradesman (Ancien employé) –  Fort St. John, BC30 janvier 2019
Avoid working for this company and go work for anyone else. PRHP management and safety are horrible, there is zero safety presence on site and it seems someone gets hurt daily yet there are 6 safety trucks sitting in the office complex parking lot at any given time. Management is basically who you know is how you got your position. Crew mates were good although everyone (foreman and general forman included) was always looking for a new job.

Heavy Equipment Operator (Ancien employé) –  Fort St. John, BC2 janvier 2019
Terrible place to work. The camp is good but the work and management is terrible. Favouritism at its finest. People that get hired to do jobs end up at the bottom with a shovel in their hand. Will never be going back

Extremely Disfunctional
Former employee (Ancien employé) –  Fort St. John, BC22 décembre 2018
This company was formed to build a dam with a group of less than qualified people, mostly local. They were very dysfunctional and wasted a lot of tax payers money. For every 2 people they hire , they fire one. The only reason they are still on the project is because the client is just as dysfunctional. Stay Away.

Heavy Equipment Operator (Ancien employé) –  Saint John, NB12 décembre 2018
PRHP was one of the most rewarding jobs, dam building and moving 600,000 meters of concrete was great for the company and the employees. the company itself safety wise wasn't up to industry standard.

Not Stable
Employee (Ancien employé) –  Fort St. John, BC5 décembre 2018
While I did work there, I did enjoy my work. It was fast paced and there was always something to do to keep you busy. But it is not somewhere to work when your seeking a long term, permanent job. They can let you go with no warning.

Worst run job out there
Heavy Equipment Operator (Ancien employé) –  Fort St. John, BC3 novembre 2018
Can’t say enough bad about this job and management, worst run job I’ve ever been to. Constant daily job threats. Complete favouritism. Biggested gong show going right now. If you do end up coming here make sure it’s to right bank, left bank is a total mess ran by idiots and a wannabe tough guy of a GF.
Needs a complete management sweep!

Nice camp, close to town.
745 C Rock Truck Operator/ Packer Operator (Ancien employé) –  Fort St. John, BC28 octobre 2018
The company doesn’t care about you. You can work extra, go that extra mile, work when your sick ( the flu in camp is rampant), but it is not recognized. You are just a body and can and will be replaced at a moments notice. And if your a female the general attitude from many of the superintendents is unless you put out you should be at home where women belong. The union is a joke. And so are the union reps.
Points positifs
Nice camp, good wage
Points négatifs
Swing shifts, management favouritism, low moral

Railroaded
Office Assistant (Employé actuel) –  Fort St. John, BC3 octobre 2018
There are MANY amazing people on this job. They care about what they do, and they give 110% everyday. There is true passion on this job site. Everyone wants to be here for the project, but not for the company.

It is as a result, very hard to see everyone get railroaded by the company. There is no appreciation, no feedback, no recognition, no advancement (unless through your superiors failures, which results in increased responsibility without pay adjustments).
You went the extra mile? crickets. Found massive cost savings? crickets. Boosted production? crickets. Management simply doesn't care. It's like being the first-born in a large family. You could recite Beethoven's Symphony 7 blindfolded with one arm, hoping to gain some kind of approval, or a sign of love, and all you get as a "that's nice dear".

The many amazing people here have built a social help network. An unspoken understanding and encouragement group that helps keep everyone sane. It's a secret society that almost all the employees are part of that allows everyone to vent frustrations. It is what keeps this job going.

Salaries here are hilariously unbalanced to the point that new grads are making the same amount as those with 8 years experience (sometimes more). You should be compensated to the level of your performance, skill, and experience, and that doesn't happen here.

There is some good news however! Due to the turnover of employees here, you can definitely boost your networking abilities, and drive up the LinkedIn connections quite substantially.

If you want experience, you will 100% get
plus... what you put in. If you want advancement, training for future roles, or anything else, don't hold your breath.  moins
