Team Lead, Concierge (Ancien employé) – Toronto, ON – 1 septembre 2019
Some of the managers are great, most are not at all. Scheduling seems to be a continuous, never-ending issue at Paragon. Pay is comparable to many security companies but they will fight tooth and nail to pinch every penny when approaching probation.
Each jobsite has its own culture, some are great and others are not so much. There needs to be better work when screening/recruiting applicants opposed to hiring anything that breathes and screwing up jobsite cultures.

Paragon is a very organized, and a understanding group. A company I would recommend to someone interested in becoming a security guard, they offer extensive training for all security guards new and old
Security Guard (Employé actuel) – Toronto, ON – 13 août 2019
Paragon provides good and complete training to the new starters to get the security guard licence. Also It is a good company to start your security job, because it can offer you a lot of work opportunities, although the pay is generally low.
Security Guard (Full Time) (Ancien employé) – Toronto, ON – 1 août 2019
Working grave yard shift is the best simply cause you don't have to deal with the public, plus you can sleep on the job which is a plus, supervisor does not care what you do as long you do your patrols and DOR,, aside from that job is good.
Concierge (Employé actuel) – Toronto, ON – 23 juillet 2019
This is a great security company with lots of partners and opportunities. Rotating shifts are expected as per the security industry standards. Would recommend working here if you are passionate about security.

Partiality, low pay. Never keep promises. Stands for a particular group of people. You will get good pay and site if scheduler is in your pocket. Otherwise you need to pay for parking at your worksite 25$/ shift with 14$ pay rate for hourly payment you get. they offer 18$/ hr at the time hiring. And after 2 months will fire you if you ask about the pay rate.
Concierge/Security Guard (Ancien employé) – GTA, ON – 15 juillet 2019
Don’t be fooled. Worked for them for 3 years at the end I was treated like garbage. No career advancement unless the manager likes you so chances are if you don’t have a god father somewhere you are headed no where. Even newer employees get more chances of advancement and you whose been with them longer are ignored.
I got one or two free trainings
No career advancement, manager only concerned in retaining the site, very low pay
Guard (Employé actuel) – Mississauga, ON – 6 juillet 2019
Consistent pay issues. They will hire just about anyone in order to sell their uniform. No room for advancement. The only bonus is that you can find a site where you get along with the client but outside of that you will have no regular contact with the company especially if you are self scheduling.
Security Site Supervisor (Ancien employé) – Toronto, ON – 26 juin 2019
If you want a good security job paragon is the way to go. If you do well you can climb the ranks from guard to supervisor in about 2 years. If you are a good supervisor there is room to move into operation positions.
Security Officer (Ancien employé) – North York, ON – 19 juin 2019
I've worked for Paragon for the past 6 years and Paragon has truly made me feel like one of the family . State of the art equipment and training. A diverse crew of fellow colleagues makes the Paragon experience
Security Guard (Employé actuel) – Lawrence Heights, ON – 13 mai 2019
Come in , do your work, be punctual and be non confrontational and its pretty easy. Occasional random crime, theft shootings but you are there to observe and report, theres no need to be the hero, but you can assist.
