When I worked as a part-time cashier, the hours would really fluctuate. One day I would come in for 4 hours, another would be 8, another would be 5. If I looked at hours per week, it was not enough hours, especially with minimum wage. There is no consistent hours. It is based on their business needs.

It depends on if you are full time or part time. part time staff can average 15 hours a week while full time will average 36 hours a week. but its food retail, hours will always fluctuate.
