You get a paycheck? The say you get benefits after 6 months but I never saw head nor tail of those benefits after working over 6 months. When asked I would be told "I'll get back to you" and never saw anything. So don't hold your breath on the benefits.

If I were in charge, I would listen to employees and encourage constructive criticism and suggestions. I would actually go around the dealership and see what I can do to make it better for everyone involved. I would be more involved with what happens within the company. I would do absolutely everything in my power to make the dealership an overall more enjoyable experience for employees and customers.

I would suggest them to not make their employees feel as if they are not appreciated

Depends on the exact job you are doing. They open M-F at 7:30am and close between 8 or 9 depending on season. Fridays they close at 6, and Saturdays are 8-6 if I remember correctly. Different departments have different specific hours (the autoshop closes early a couple days a week, and auto sales associates are expected to be at work starting at 8 or 9 I think.)

The culture is superficial, employees put on a front but the underlying problems will affect your employment. maybe you'll be a mechanic and it will be okay cause you can get away with any behaviour. because when they get work it keeps the light's on so they're permitted to act inappropriately, although there's a few that you wouldn't mind working on your vehicle. elsewhere, it's a crapshoot, depending on whether you want to put up with an environment where being insensitive or condescending is permissible. bottom line, leave your integrity at the door because it's not valued.
