Cashier produce worker in Duncan, BC
The staff is like a family, great people to work with. Management DOESN’T exist here. Expect schedules a day or two in advance. Terrible hours. Blatant disregard for their employees. Owner is amazing but needs to fix the management issues.
The store manager is constantly spread to thin and cannot do enough to create an enjoyable working environment. The owner has sociopathic tendencies and will expect you to do whatever he says without question, you’re treated like you’re disposable. The schedules are posted 1-2 days in advance so you never know when you’ll be working the week after. The staff are friendly enough and there is little drama between them but there needs to be more effort put in by management to make the staff feel more appreciated
Do yourself a favour just don't apply
The only good thing is the other employees. The management does not care about quality or the well being of their employees. Schedules are posted days before end of week, if you're lucky, with no regard of employees needs. They will schedule you the minimum amount of hours to keep you scraping by and if you ask for more they will promise more but lie right to your face. If you have bills to pay steer clear. Their blatant disregard for employee safety and food safety is also alarming.

Terrible management with new owners, political & infighting
Previous owners were awesome and the longevity of their employees reflect this. Since the new owner (in spite of his fathers' reputation), there has been infighting, kingdom building, micro-managing, and just a horrible place to work.
Assistant Manager of Deli Department in Duncan, BC
Fun, family feeling place to work
It was a fast paced, friendly and a great place. Reason for leaving was to move closer to family. I enjoyed co-workers and all the family love between employees and customers.
