Provision and Order entry for Bell Canada Clients and Sales Agents via Telephone and Computer. Very complex Order Package and a somewhat adversarial order completion system between the operators and the sales agents. Very helpful management and culture. Colleagues again made the difference in working here making it a very interesting place to work.

You only survive outside being unionized in Waterloo Nordia if you have a personal connection to upper management. I feel if you speak up for yourself, you become a target for dismissal. They do not support mental illness as Bell portrays. Other than upper management, the people i worked with were amazing. Agents and my fellow management team provided a much more positive experience. Bell liaisons were quite amazing as well.
Points positifs
My agents were amazing and supportive along with respectful, I loved being a manager and helping others strive.
Points négatifs
Unless you have a personal relationship with upper management, you will not succeed.

Pros 1. Monthly Bonus 2. Union Job 3. I like my coworkers Cons 1. Target not achievables 2. Customer yelling at you all day 3. The manager of operations is no personality. no care about us. 4. The HR lady never gives you a straight answer and does not know what she is doing. she just take guess and hope she is right sumhow. or she will send you to somebody to do a job that she supposed to do!!!! I quit because she was not help. 5. The schedule is HORRIBLE!! Nordia says they care but than go ahead and hire not unqualified managerment/hr.

In the beginning, they will train you well and always state the company cares for you. Which is untrue. You get all the shouting from customers and foul languages and you cant do anything. The management states its your job to hear. Recently, they also stated that you have to sell TV/Internet/home phone to every customers on call even if they have difficulty paying their phone bill. Since it is your job, now assuming you cant reach the target then no bonus. On asking how to do that since customers already feel they are getting robbed. The management states not to worry, you will get used to it. If you look into the management, they internally promote themselves and create new positions with their own names and hire themselves within. However, the associates have to struggle like min 10 years to get into the management level and like many companies, this company do not show equal opportunities. Racial discrimination is found. Nordia does not care about its employees and that is why you do not see employees staying longer than 1-2 years. Anyone staying more than that is because they have lost hope finding jobs in their own career or have been promised falsely by management or got stuck into a call centre. A message to the Management: Do not assume the associates are fools and if you think you can fool the associates, then you are the biggest fool to think like that.

Staff was amazing training eas amazing, employeed were amazing. I really wish i still worked there i miss it all the time...... Would recommend working here to anyone.

I started taking calls 3 weeks ago, the manager of the department is a bit strict, i feel like he's always watching but he's understanding and fair. If you mess up he will let you know, but if you do something right he will also let you know so i guess its ok. just make sure you are not late or sick and you will have good time.

This place was amazing to work at for the first 3 months, after that, I’m not sure if it was changes in management or not but things just became a quick downhill from there. We moved from Kitchener downtown (great location) to northfield all the way in Waterloo, losing staff based on that, I stuck around for a bit until the changes in roles happened so quickly and seemed to be at random. Our HR got switched to someone who’s had absolutely no background in the field so that was a bust. She literally has no business being in HR with no experience. They then wanted us to start selling home services on all calls, including escalation calls? So not only do we have to calm a customer down from calling us names and what not, we now have the pressure to sell them home services or else we don’t get our monthly bonus. The team leads worry about which team members they want relations with more than their jobs and it’s rather sickening. Oh and the best part about that is our new HR representative won’t do anything about that because she has no idea to even do the basics of her job!

The job itself is fun at times, but the management makes the environment stressful. It seems that they try to catch employees doing something wrong by constantly micro-managing everyone.

I was only there for a year, but it was honestly the best place. I loved going to work and being around the people there. The environment is so welcoming and everyone is always looking out for one another, whether thats from co-workers or managers.

Awesome place to work. Great benefits, great pay. Long shifts with mandatory OT and shifts not the same for a week at a time....constantly changing.
