it was a pleasure to work with Nordia, I had a great time, all the supervisors and trainers were very helpful and friendly. the work was a little bit stressful but too much the one cannot handle.

you are expected to up sell and sell products to people who want to cancel their services with the company. If you are good at selling people things they don't need or want then this is the job for you, make hand over fist with bonuses but if you have any sort of humanity in you or cant stand the though of having to sell things to people they did not call to come to buy then don't even bother applying.
cant really go into the dodgy benefits without being specific but its not worth taking what they offer.

very difficult to have a positive attitude while working at my nordia location. i found it almost impossible to get the support i required, and the job is stats based. so when you are not suceeding it feels you get stuck at the bottom as support is few and far between. i found much of management show favouritism to staff, also making it hard get support and succeed if you are not one of the favourites. and getting yelled at by customers day after day becomes very exhausting, with not even 10 seconds between calls to take a breather after being yelled at. if you can suck it up and push through that the pay and bonus can be worth it, but i find there is not enough money you can pay me to want to stay at this job for long.

Good to work at good people fair wages relaxing I would work there again if i could and now I'm just typing to fill the space and i dont know what else to talk about

More job functions other than answering or making calls to customers should be available at Nordia Nanaimo. If there are more departments like Digital marketing, project management departments and more slots for logistics, staff can choose to further their careers while staying in the same company.

Wasn't so bad at first. Gets worse the longer you stay. Beyond stressful dealing with calls and the management. You can't leave your desk at any point (only on break/lunch), using your phone is forbidden, and if you break any rules you can consider yourself in 'big' trouble. Good news is that they will never let you go because they need workers desperately.

Plenty of training in classroom about the tools and software you use day to day, the products you sell, and time on the floor with assistance before you take your live calls. Environment is very friendly, great position for learning about customer service and basic administrative work, as you take plenty of calls each day.

Worked here for 5 months, on the postings and at hiring there was lots of promises of big paychecks and bonuses and career advancement. Not true at all. The wage is only good if you can meet their exceedingly high standards and then it was only a chance at a draw for a good prize half the time?? Granted I worked essentially in cancellations department for which you better not let anyone cancel anything.or you're in trouble. Actual trouble. I had 1 person cancel and I got written up. Not happy. Management also sucks and wont help you if you need it. Hours were long and most of the people complained constantly.

Don't do it. It's a waste of time. The experience is cool but they preach about an accepting environment and assure everyone that they'll have good balance. Then you're working a 12pm - 9pm shift followed immediately by a 6am start the next day. Management is nice unless there's something going on in your life then they just do disciplinary action over and over till you just quit.

This job sucks the life out if you. Not much of employee satisfaction. Need more motivation, management treats employees like robots. Could improve in providing better employee satisfaction as they demand the best customer satisfaction

Pay is great combined with bonus. Customers are usually at their wits end so it can be hard to maintain a positive attitude all day. Management and superiors are fair. All in all if you can't grin and bear angry customers while also up selling what their trying to cancel, don't apply.

I loved the job. Always new things to strive for. The pay was good and the bonuses made the pay even better. There was always help if you needed it. I worked there over two years and would recommend this employment opportunity to others. I was able to advance with hard work and always striving to give my all!

Norris has a very good and friendly work culture. Job can sometimes take a toll on the person but the management is always there to bail you out or help in whatever way possible

you sit on the phone and talk to people about their cellphones. the job itself isn't hard but the HR department is useless. I really dread going into work every day and I know that most of my colleagues feel the same way.

Norida itself as an employer is actually quite good, it's the work environment and the customer base that makes this work difficult.
Benefits for employees after 6 months is great, something you don't get with other smaller jobs.


The pay is really great compared to the minimum wage, and bonus can be earned based on how well you do, so your paycheck is somewhat up to you. That being said, I find something within me had to break to stay there beyond a year. I often have to turn off my personal feelings and just do what's best for the company and pretend.


The people I work with though truly are my newfound family and I've made some great friends while working here. This has been a perk for working here, but the work is tricky and the customers are difficult.


Scheduling is one of those things that I've managed to somehow get the regular schedule I want. It does fluctuate here and there but I usually have a steady schedule which is nice. I find if my schedule is a little different somewhere, usually majority schedules are a little different too.


For some, it works, and it really turns into a career but it does not work for everyone and the company knows that, so it's easy for them to get new people in. The turn over is high but give it a try, it might be what you're looking for.

The job is mentally draining with back to back calls and extremely poor and racist management. They literally think of them selves as gods but turn the alphabets around and you’ll know who they truly are. They’re not supportive and don’t give two fs about you. Have no soul as they’ve been doing the same thing for 10+ and eventually got all the life out of them so now they want to bring the life out of their employees.

Run like your hair is on fire!!! This is the most horrible job I’ve ever had....$25 an hour?! Total bull!!! Terrible pressure from management to work for a company that rips off their customers....do yourself a favour and seek employment elsewhere!

People friendly environment, Opportunity to grow within organization through the tier program. Very competitive salary and bonus. Employee development and extensive training before going to the production floor and further training on the job. Multicultural. Agent support on and off work. The management team are amazing because they are show concern when an agent need support.

Production floor need to expand if possible, to accommodate more agents as more and more people are showing interest to join Nordia.
