Management- poorly run company

To many upstairs management, not enough true direction of running of facility. Only a few people actually knew what they were doing the rest, didnt need to be there.
Poorly maintained facility, there should have been shuts every week, to get ahead of critical repairs.

Dangerous place to work. Good pay but very bad benefits. Management is like a bunch of robots. Worked their 5 years never seen a smile. Lol they preach about safety, then u report something or get hurt u will be fired. dirty mill with extremely bad air quality. And fires at least once a week somewhere in the building or yard. Stay away !!

Maintenance is run on the millwrights backs.

HR.manager is presently still employed even though moral and competency gone out the window.People advance into management through the union plant committee.So the union positions are held by members who are hoping to get foreman jobs and mostly because their integrity doesn't exist.If you needed an emergency short term job it would still be best to look elsewhere.100 mile norbord is a nightmare of poor safety culture and inferior,fingerpointing low IQ bosses

they are ruthless, managers are terrible, fire people on the spot to cover there own hides and keep safety bonuses. High level Mill was the worst, other mills might be better.

Ridiculous management in and above mill level

Back stabbing untrustworthy management including HR and Plant Manager. Witnessed them set up a great leader for failure and shovelled off into the sunset. No morales what so ever with this mill and its culture. STAY CLEAR!

They say safety is the most important aspect of the job until it impacts production then safety is forgotten, and if you get hurt during the correction, they will fire the individual without warning.

Very poorly managed mill only produces at half throttle.no management on the yard very little yard maintenance .unloading trks is horrific other then a couple GD operaters.

I enjoyed working here, hours were good and people fun. I didn't learn much and lots of preventative maintenance, but still interesting. Shut down days were busy and very informative, the plant has lots of potential for advancement.

Great people extremely poor management

Working on 4 years for working for Norbord in High Level Alberta, unfortunately this mill has deteriorated over the years with poor management and lack of leader ship. Production over safety is the work culture and when employees get injured they are terminated in most circumstances depending on how valuable they are to the mill as a whole.

The work schedule of 4 , ten hour days is very nice to keep up with family time and hobbies. The salary and benefits are very well tuned to a long term career. Most supervisor roles include meetings and training for your position. Safety is strongly encouraged and every employee is expected to participate.
