"I've finally found a place where my job isn't just a job"
Developer/Analyst (Employé actuel) –  Toronto, ON2 octobre 2019
Great executive team who are passionate about their product and their entire company. They listen, empathize and are never afraid to take risks. They trust their employees and their thoughts which allows us to grow, allows us to be creative and as long as we are open minded, we will see and do great things together
Points positifs
They support diversity and inclusion. (it's been so awesome to meet people from various backgrounds)
Points négatifs
Like most tech companies, we have product issues but our teams are constantly looking to improve them.

i am a former employee worked as loan processor,i i wish i could say anything good about the company. most stressfull job ever.
Sr. Call Center Representative (Originations) (Ancien employé) –  Toronto, ON1 octobre 2019
if you want to die of stress then this is the role for u to join.management is so bias and worst ever u would come across strict sales oriented role where u have to have 4 loans in a day which gets on to u management is the least supportive.they make u do 200 outbound calls and since the interest rates r so high no body would want to take this loan.i would say ride uber far more relaxing and easy then this stressful environment management has 0 knowledge and very least supportive out there, they will stress u out so much its a warning for you people to join i worked 2 years and felt like it was like 10 years and i finally gave up and faced so many stress issues.

You don't want to work here
Administrative Associate (Ancien employé) –  Downtown Toronto1 octobre 2019
Management is horrible. You will be micromanaged. You go to use the bathroom and you will be questioned/reprimanded. The environment is toxic. You can find a better job.

MoneyKey is a great place to work. I love how this company and how it takes care of its employees. I was able to take some time off while taking are of personal business with no issues. HR and my management team was very understanding.

The environment is fun and employees socialize outside very often.

I really enjoy my job!

Not a long term career
Loan Processor (Ancien employé) –  Winnipeg, MB13 août 2019
Worked in Winnipeg location for 7 months. Paid 12.25 per hour. Serving broke people in USA (certain states only) . No proper management. Only learnt the work flow when I was put on the floor. Team leaders are the best part of the job. Very helpful and easy to talk to. This is job is a bridge make your expenses meet. Management push you hard to make loans

Worst place ever !
Agent (Ancien employé) –  Toronto, ON13 août 2019
They tell you all these great things until you actually start working. No chance to grow at all, they say “ we’re all humans and have emergencys in life” untill you’re off for a day and they fire you. Moneykey was fun with the games and snacks but they pretty much hire and fire people every couple weeks. Save yourself the time and go elsewhere!

Not Everyone's cup of tea
Administrative Assistant (Ancien employé) –  Toronto, ON4 août 2019
The call centre work environment is very stressful with low salaries and a small commission. The people however make it worth working there and making friends is very easy. You can only work here temporarily as this isnt a long term solution for a job. Once you move up to corporate such as IT,Tech, HR or marketing(if you're lucky) it gets better money wise. Salary still below industry standard, very stressful and there is a lack of communication from top management. People aren;t as friendly anymore. Not everyone's cup of tea.

pro - free snacks on Thrusday, occasional company lunches and drinks

Worst place to work in
Customer Service Representative (Ancien employé) –  Toronto, ON11 mai 2019
There is no way to grow in this company. You'll get paid minimum wage and incentives are super low. Managers can be rude and you have to report even when you go to the washroom. They take advantage of their location, but this company is the worst.
Points positifs
Location is great
Points négatifs
Minimun wage. No chance to grow

Good company to work for
Customer Service Representative (Ancien employé) –  Toronto, ON3 février 2019
MoneyKey has a good work culture and coworkers are generally helpful. Pay could be higher though and the commission structure for customer service reps could be improved. Other than that, people do their jobs and go home on time. Location is excellent.
Points positifs
Free snacks for office staff every week
Points négatifs
Phone work can be be monotonous

Not a bad place to work at
Customer Service Representative (Ancien employé) –  Toronto, ON28 janvier 2019
A good training ground for customer service skills, analytical and logical reasoning, English communication.
You will learn how to work with people in diverse backgrounds and work as a team
Casual, young, hip and relaxed culture
Reasonable, somewhat fair and professional management and HR teams
Since there are too many young and inexperienced employees, they tend to complain a lot and failed to look at the bigger picture
There are team building activities, Year end party, incentive programs
Points positifs
Employee benefits, downtown location, incentive programs, professional team leads
Points négatifs
monotonous work, very minimal of coaching, training and feedback

Lowest of the low- Don't consider this company..EVER!
Customer Care Representative (Ancien employé) –  Toronto, ON13 décembre 2018
Anyone that gives this company more than 1 star has to be working on the 6th floor ( with their friends/smoke buddies etc.) or has not been working there past the 3-week "training.".

I am so embarrassed to claim this experience, but I need to warn others....

Management- For a company that has been around for over six years, they need help.No one knows what they are doing, no one has the answers and can take accountability for anything. Why does your Team Lead, Supervisor and Manager refuse to take escalated calls?
Why does the CEO not know that the computers we use are slow and outdated and the systems are constantly freezing? Why can't the CEO tell you the qualifications for a wage increase? They are unqualified...

Revolving Door- the three weeks of "training "is a waste of time; once you get to the floor, you can't take a call because they barely "train" you on 1 of the three systems they use. You must transfer the calls because you can't help the screaming customer on the line who has been waiting in queue for 20 minutes to be transferred again. The agent you transfer to then screams or has an attitude for transferring the call to them. I have never seen so many people start and quit abruptly. It got to the point where you don't bother learning anyone's names; they are gone the next day.... the queues are always high, not enough agents and the agents they got don't know a lick!

Terrible Pay- imagine this, you come to this company with no prior experience in the industry as a "Senior Agent," but the actual senior agents in the company must train you and receive
plus... minimum wage. Make that make sense please, that's what you get at Moneykey. A new Senior Agent making above minimum wage with no experience and an actual experienced Senior Agent making less income with more responsibilities- yikes!
It should be against the law to be working in the financial district making minimum wage, unacceptable.

Lack of appreciation - You can mentor, train fellow agents, work in customer service while doing administrative team tasks like taking payments and retrieving emails from both the customer service department and originations department, train your SUPERVISOR and TEAM LEAD, work overtime and never get a "thank you" or " if you didn't do overtime today those 46 of the 90 Returned Customers that were funded wouldn't have happened". You are supposed to get your gift cards for positive reviews and management creates any excuse not to give it to you. I am sorry, as an adult, chips and cake pops from the weekly snack cart is not a reward for my services. The immaturity is out of this world.

Winnipeg- this new location is open and running like a chicken without a head. This is the best way the company can save money because the minimum wage is much lower there. Instead of paying the customer service employees in Toronto appropriately, they rather invest in Winnipeg.

Please take this honest review into consideration.

Not the most moral place to work
Call Centre Representative (Ancien employé) –  Toronto, ON6 décembre 2018
I couldn't work for this company for long they sell these payday loans to these poor people and it's awful. It's a call center but I have worked at call centers and this ain't it!

Management is horrible and has favoritism instead of coaching you they talk about you. The people that worked there are gross.

There is nothing good about the company except for a fast hire and quick money for two weeks

Good place to begin your career
Customer Service Representative (Employé actuel) –  Toronto, ON4 décembre 2018
This organization has certainly been a revelation for me in beginning my career in Canada. I am extremely obliged with the opportunity provided, but more so the exposure to build on different skills that are required to work in a canadian workplace.

Great Place to work
Administrator (Employé actuel) –  Toronto, ON29 novembre 2018
I feel like a lot of the bad reviews must be from employees or former employees who are either always late to work, lazy, or just generally ungrateful.

MoneyKey is one of the best places i have worked.
You basically get what you put in
If you work hard, you are recognized for it
I was promoted within 7 months of joining the company, and i have seen many employees get promoted just after a few months of joining the company.

The only thing for me would be the pay, the pay can be improved for sure.
Points positifs
Positive atmosphere, recognition, opportunity to advance
Points négatifs
Low pay

Customer Service Representative(Part Time) (Ancien employé) –  Toronto, ON20 septembre 2018
What can I say about this dark hole lol. Monkey key is like a high school. so much jealousy and petty drama. Go goodness sake people fight over a food chart yes a food chart that comes out once a week. They will tackle u over a bag a chips. Management is a disgrace, mind you things have changed. Put lots of politics. TLs want to be treated as gods and are only looking out for friends. The CS role is easy but the toxic environment is not worth a job this easy. Telecommunication industry is always the same but the people here are truly bullies.Hr doesn’t care they sit and talk about the agents. It’s a joke...get out while u xan
Points positifs
None...a pay cheque
Points négatifs
Management, immature employees, TLs that don’t even want to do much and CEO (that don’t respect people of colour)
