Standard hours are 8:30am-5pm local time, but some people work different shifts for various reasons. Some people on the help desk work earlier or later shifts to support client hours. Some clients require work done outside of their business hours, such as technology deployment or office move projects. Or some employees work a slightly earlier or later shift to accommodate their personal schedules. Some technical jobs include paid on call and after hours work. Best to ask the recruiter for the specific job you’re applying to for details.
