Good job
Woodworker (Ancien employé) –  Langley, BC12 septembre 2019
Really enjoyed producing cabinets and finished products at merit kitchens. It was really good pay at the time as well for the qualifications I had at the time.

Worst place ever
Production Worker (Employé actuel) –  Surrey, BC11 septembre 2019
Please god do not work here. The company is tanking and everyone is quitting. Their top paying rate is $19 an hour but there are people who have been there for 30 years or more who are not even making $19. I beg everyone to avoid anything to do with Merit Kitchens. They do not have any management because everyone keeps quitting.

TERRITORY MANAGER (Employé actuel) –  Surrey, BC10 janvier 2019
Great co-workers, AWESOME clients. Management doesn't care about the dealers, it was difficult to get product out on time and complete which meant the project was stalled if key components were missing. I did my best at putting out fires, got tired of disappointing dealers.

Good experience for knowing so much more than your product .
Design Consultant (Ancien employé) –  Edmonton, AB2 février 2017
Fast paced, demanding and unorganized way to work as I always had to go beyond my scope of work to provide the clients with all the proper information they needed and required. New system for Ikea and it was not well appreciated. No sense of creative self as you had to dress in a uniform.

Easy going work environment
Painter/Labourer (Ancien employé) –  Surrey, BC20 avril 2016
Work was simple for the most part but expected to be able to complete most tasks on your own, i did not have a lot of contact with management. I learned to be more independent and not rely on others and get tasks done on my own. The most enjoyable part of the job was being able to freely talk to other employees next to your work bench.
Points positifs
Able to listen to music while working
Points négatifs
Not enough pay for the work being done

This was a great company to work for.
Scheduling Coordinator (Ancien employé) –  Richmond, BC13 juin 2013
I really enjoyed my job with Merit Kitchens. They were a great bunch of people to work with From the management and designers to installers and other trades. I learned a lot about scheduling and how to deal with delays, problems with customers and putting them at ease. I learned a lot about what it takes to put a kitchen together. The hardest part about my job was not having an answer for them without the knowledge of the trade, but I was a quick learner and always made sure to find the answer and let that customer know. This job was Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm.
Points positifs
We quite often got treated to lunch by the boss.
Points négatifs
The business downsized and moved out of richmond.
