Aircraft Fueler (Ancien employé) – Toronto Pearson International Airport, ON – 30 octobre 2019
-check trucks -talk to supervisor/dispatch for work -bad management (always different answers from supervisors) -it went from getting the job done to safety -hardest part of the job would be driving in the sun
The staff is great and the work environment is like a family. Management is non existent most of the time and the company does anything they want regardless of what the contract says. Management's decisions are questionable at times but so long as you do your job,you have nothing to worry about. If you already work at the airport and have a RAIC,you get a $2000 signging bonus after 6 months
Management will never have your back. They go back on their word. Get everything in writing so they can’t screw you over. They implement rules that do not make sense. They say everything for safety; but get a delay on a flight and you’re getting in a lot of trouble.
Lots to learn for not much money. $14.22 to start with a few small increases. Union, but not that it matters much other than making sure you pay your dues. Excellent management in Moncton, always willing to work with you. You're not just a number.
Easy job, not enough employees, worked to death, zero appreciation for effort put in. Greasy tactics for advancing favoured employees. The worst manager anyone’s ever worked for, opinion shared with everyone else who works there. Thrown right into the job with minimal training, and most trainers despise training, if you make a mistake or damage equipment you’re humiliated and docked a day of work. Primitive work style. Schedule that hasn’t been altered in 14years. Not enough parking for every employee, risk your car being towed. Racism and sexism abundant.
poor communication between the higher ups and the rest of the company, good training and trainers but management want you to work as soon as they can so they don't give you enough time to get trained...
