Great experience and exposure for prospective graduate students. The university is located at the center of downtown Montreal and offers anything a graduate student could hope for. Work-life balance may suffer depending on the PI you choose to work with.
Access to bright minds, cutting edge technology, and exciting research opportunities.
Will primarily depend on your PI.
I was a full-time student for two years. There are many opportunities to learn and improve in both area Knowledge and culture. Learning from professors who the most are knowledgeable and aware prof. Unwithstanding studying at McGill would be a sort of fast-paced education, but that would be one of the unforgettable experience in life. Working together, Learning more, following up hard and enjoying deep at the time I studied at McGill that push forward me with the supportive and effective methods. Also, studying at this university motivates us to be able to work as an effective and innovative member of a group.

Worked there for 3 years now, been through 5 managers that haven't stayed. Makes it a difficult place to work. Never know what is coming at you, and the employee culture seems to be that we are pitted against one another. Not a fun place to work.
McGill prides itself in creating a family life within the work environment. I believe they did a great job at doing so. I enjoyed every moment in different job positions within the University and I have yet to find somewhere that offers such interesting projects such as Mcgills.
stressful and will break union laws. don't trust Mcgill or the union they both seem to be working together false protection and many people getting fired for no reason.

I’ve worked at worked since feb 4 1985 and enjoyed my work there I will be retiring at the age age of 53 with my pension and definitely looking forward to starting fresh elsewhere with same kind of sterilization
McGill was by far the most professional academic experience I ever had, coming from a corporate environment I took a while to adapt myself to an academic new world. I had to learn a new working pace in sync with team workers from many different areas, it was very exiting, every day something new to learn. I did research and management of many IT projects with successful results.
Environnement multi-culturel très positif. Possibilité de changer de département très facilement et d'acquérir de nouvelles expériences de travail. Même si je travaille pour une université anglaise, j'utilise beaucoup mon français avec les consoeurs et confrères de travail.
Good salary, great benefits, and lots of opportunity to advance or explore many areas of the university. It is very hard to get your foot in the door but once you do then you can move around at will.
Chance of advancement is high
Don't work for Finance VP
McGill has provided me opportunities to grow in different aspects. In return, I also invested my talents, skills, and expertise. However, McGill can improve further via investing in providing 1- professional academic advisors (i.e. PhD in the field of each department) 2- high quality and free of charge students services and facilities
