Due to Covid-19, not much interaction with coworkers. Some impractical approaches culminate into stress on workers. Sometimes its not clear whether management is on top of their game.Its a good place to put your customer service skills to use. It calls for a lot of patience in most cases, just so you know you can easily be turned into a punching bag.

Training support by competent trainers.
Points négatifs
Stress levels are pushed down to lower cadres. Career focus takes an undefined path.

Stuck in a loop of government policies regarding what you can and cannot do. They are there to help but with absolutely limited ability to do so. You will not be given updated information regarding your role (they say they will but you will not get a response to your questions 9/10 times)- I found better-updated information regarding my "Call line" on Facebook. Youll have conflict on the phone due to lack of information, so get used to tell people the same story over and over again without really giving the citizen an answer to their question.Its a good paying entry-level job but dont excpect to move anywhere upwards.Be comfortable with being on your own when an issue arises and getting an answer 3 weeks later when "it is now public". also, adapting to change is a must as you will find out by a random caller that something new has now taken place that they found out through the news and you have no idea :)

Stressful, competitive environment. Not well organized. Lots of system crashes. Lots of waiting for management to get organized. Got nothing more to say.

At Maximus Federal it was my first call center i ever had worked at and will definitely be my last, call centers aren't just my thing. But hearing from other people this call center was the most cleanest and professional out of all of them! I sure do believe them as well.

Everyday there was always citizens complaining and angry at the government which we had to deal with. We are not given any tools to help the said citizen, but rather act as a switchboard operator. As well as they put a very high pressure situation in terms of meeting certain goals while answering the calls.

-inbound calls - worked on behalf of the Trillium Drug Program - processed applications for seniors- - handled billing issues - researched drugs that were covered for seniors - hardest part of the job there was no hours - enjoyable part of the job the staff

Hours are perfect for having a balanced life. It is hard to keep your targets for calls per hour. There is opportunity for overtime and it is only if you volunteer. It was hard when you would hear stories about people not being able to see a doctor or were not informed that they would be charged.
