Due to Covid-19, not much interaction with coworkers. Some impractical approaches culminate into stress on workers. Sometimes its not clear whether management is on top of their game.Its a good place to put your customer service skills to use. It calls for a lot of patience in most cases, just so you know you can easily be turned into a punching bag.

Points négatifs
Stress levels are pushed down to lower cadres. Career focus takes an undefined path.

They don’t care your value. You are just a lil part can be replaced at anytime. No support at all when you on the call. Very hard to achieve the daily goal.

Stuck in a loop of government policies regarding what you can and cannot do. They are there to help but with absolutely limited ability to do so. You will not be given updated information regarding your role (they say they will but you will not get a response to your questions 9/10 times)- I found better-updated information regarding my "Call line" on Facebook. Youll have conflict on the phone due to lack of information, so get used to tell people the same story over and over again without really giving the citizen an answer to their question.Its a good paying entry-level job but dont excpect to move anywhere upwards.Be comfortable with being on your own when an issue arises and getting an answer 3 weeks later when "it is now public". also, adapting to change is a must as you will find out by a random caller that something new has now taken place that they found out through the news and you have no idea :)

Stressful, competitive environment. Not well organized. Lots of system crashes. Lots of waiting for management to get organized. Got nothing more to say.

MAXIMUS is generally a great company to work for. The only inconvenience is about the job security,as most of their positions starts as casual, you can’t really know what to expect about working hours and it can be stressful.

Great people to work with and fun entry level environment in tech support. A tipical work day involved walking around to both buildings and solving clients level one tech problems.

Everyday there was always citizens complaining and angry at the government which we had to deal with. We are not given any tools to help the said citizen, but rather act as a switchboard operator. As well as they put a very high pressure situation in terms of meeting certain goals while answering the calls.

great environment to learn good business analysis skill. All the information one needs to succeed in their work is readily made available. Everyone the company is easy to talk to and they ready to health, from the top management to staff. great place to work. although they pay is not that great, however they do a lot team building exercises, such free lunch every 4th month, free movie occasion etc.

Maximus was fairly good to work for. Hours were great as was the pay. That said, it was a bit disorganized and lack direction in getting projects to completion.

The union is what protects workers at this company. If you are external note that this is a male dominated company, unless you are a "pretty" girl which definitely means you can get ahead. Much of the management operates with their own agendas in mind. Not a trustworthy company.

it is repetitive and very difficult to escape the entry level in the call centre.. occasional free lunches and breakfasts are the only perks and some draws for concerts. it's just horrible, negative work

Hours are perfect for having a balanced life. It is hard to keep your targets for calls per hour. There is opportunity for overtime and it is only if you volunteer. It was hard when you would hear stories about people not being able to see a doctor or were not informed that they would be charged.

Excellent atmosphere. A little bit of Government and Ministry attitude, but overall a phenomenal place to work - coming from the outside I see some areas of opportunity which I will try to influence some positive change in the months to come.

Hardest part of the job was managing irate customers on the telephone. I did a lot of data entry. Most of my co-workers made this experience enjoyable.

Don't think or ask questions. Do your job like robot. A lot of favortisim and if your favorite you can do no wrong however if your on the other end you life will be miserable. Too bad could be really great company. President is fully aware of the goings on and does nothing.

Large company in downtown Victoria with limited movement in my area of work, but has a great social network. Employees are fabulous, and for the most part (large company, remember!?) work well together. Excluded staff not allowed flex days, which is one of the harder things to accept, as the unionized staff have the flex day schedule provided, should they wish it. Great benefits once qualified, good starting wages. Supervisors and Management handle their Teams well.
