I would not let anyone I care for work here. If your friends with the management you can coast. It was a great place to work until they laid off the Edmonton president who always took time to thank you for your hard work.
If you want to end up a scape goat or get fired for no reason, work for Mattamy. Internal politics and Managers looking out for them selves. No one cares when your just a number. So many incompetent Managers and supervisors, makes it impossible to succeed or advance.

First off. The homes are absolutely bad quality. Crooked cracked missing siding. Brick work all over the place. Caulking is bad, looks very amateur for such a large company Management, although nice enough, are super unorganized and have no clue what’s actually going on. I’d avoid this place unless you are new to construction.Quantity not quality

I enjoyed my time working for the company. I found the office staff weren't too chatty and kept to themselves but the pay and benefits were good. Employees shouldn't get comfortable as there's a lot of turnover and the room for advancement is slim.

Learned a lot working here but job became more and more added responsibilities, so I came back to St. Catharines and pursued job driving Coach for Trentway/Wagar

I really enjoyed my first year working with Mattamy. Unfortunately new management took over and things changed dramatically. Zero job security. The customer care manager was incompetent and feared anyone beneath her position who challenged her thoughts. Myself and many were affected by this and unfortunately HR or management did not react or look to investigate. I left with a very sour taste in my mouth as did many. If you are looking for a fun culture, quick turn over then this may be your place, but if your looking for job security and growth, do not bother.

Very fast pace working in Customer service area. Work not often divided equally. A lot of decisions made with employee input.
Enjoyed my time working in Customer service. Was more exciting when the job had a mix of site and office to meet the site teams and homeowners. Always a lot of changes so you must be able to adapt. Management was fair. Worked a lot with other departments which was great. Personally lefr as the 5 day a week commute got too much.
Team culture. Family. Flexibility. Some teams get perks.
Not a lot of opportunity for growth unless you are connected;too much focus on avid scores.
I enjoyed my time working here, pay was ok, a little on the low side for my position, but that was made up for with quarterly bonuses. I was on site so work life balance was great. A lot of it was dependent on the site supervisor. The owner treated all employees great, lots of company events throughout the year. Peter also gave a lot back to the community.

My experience working with Mattamy Homes was excellent. I was heavily worked without feeling that I was being forced, the pay was very generous and well earned, and management was always helpful and supportive.

Great place to work. Management treated staff very well. Showed much appreciation to staff at all levels. Very flexible and understanding of family needs.
Benefits and pay are good, co-workers are great. Problem is they are non-union, and are quick to fire scape-goats. Stay away from female Managers trying to make a name for themselves as they have selfish motivations and can be deceiving! If your not from their circle of family or friends, you'll be the first to get let go no matter your skill set.
There is absolutely zero job security. Beware before joining!!! People leave previous full time jobs where they performed very well to come here. They should assess fit and clarify roles before they hire someone. Lack of communication and strategy across all levels. Cannot believe it is named Top Employers List. It varies greatly by department. The Toronto Office also has terrible reviews and bad culture. I am not surprised. Like others have said, don't mess with people's lives!
Hires 60 labourers last year and had four stay. Benefits are good, everything else is horrible. Management never takes responsibility for the stupidity of their actions and take it out in their labourers. Most dysfunctional, backwards, do it five times not once kind of company.
I had a good experience working for them. Although the manager that took over for a Mat leave was not the greatest. For the level I worked at I was able to work quite autonomously and was treated fairly.
Corporate culture is non existent at head office. Bullish employees are kept employed even with multiple complaints. Lots of attrition over the past couple of years both voluntary and involuntary with full teams completely leaving in mass. Sure, office looks great but is rotting from within (poisonous apple). Employees do not look happy. I'm stuck and can't wait to get out.
Mattamy Homes is a great place to get creative with decor. The decor center is filled with many samples to get a homeowner to know what can be applied to their home. The team for Open house is great, but it often changes quickly due to its high turnover.
Insecure Customer Care manager. She gives hardworkers a hard time. She is worried for her job so she fires anyone who shows growth. Very abusive to work under and she belittles you in front of your colleagues. Upper management lets her to continue this behaviour without investigation.
