Experiencing the impact of your day-to-day work is part of the job at Mattamy Homes. Each member of the Mattamy family has an important role to play in helping our homeowners’ dreams come true. Whether you work in land, construction, sales, design services or one of our corporate offices, you’ll be proud of the work you do.
Home building is personal. We make our customers’ dreams a reality by building communities that can be enjoyed for years to come. At Mattamy, we know that what we do each day will influence the way communities and cities are built, and the way people live.
Belong to Our Extended Family
Working at Mattamy means being part of a tightly knit team that is committed to our homeowners, to leading the industry, and importantly, to each other. What we do takes teamwork, and like family, we pull together to deliver our best.
Experience Exciting Possibilities
We’ve enjoyed tremendous success since our early days, and we continue to look into the future with ambition. We know where we are going; we will be the best homebuilding brand in North America. By bringing your best every day, you can play a key role in helping us get there – together.
Community is more than just a core value at Mattamy, it’s an integral part of our DNA. Our dedication to the community starts with our Founder and CEO, Peter Gilgan, but it doesn’t stop there. Our passion for making a difference in our communities flows into the actions of our entire leadership team through to each of our employees. It is exemplified in the grassroots, employee-driven initiatives, our employee matching donations and all the way through to grand-scale company donations.
Our ongoing dedication to making our communities a better place is a critical part of what makes Mattamy special. Through our MattamyCares program and our Founder and CEO’s charitable organization, the Peter Gilgan Foundation, we come together like family to actively support local charitable organizations to create vibrant and healthy communities.
Mattamy Volunteer Program
The Mattamy Volunteer Program (MVP) encourages and enables employees across the company to be active volunteers in and contributors to our local communities. In 2019, MVP paid out nearly $10,000 in matching gifts and volunteer grants, benefiting 32 charitable or not-for-profit organizations.
Since February 2018, Mattamy has been a proud partner of the WE Organization, encouraging our employees and their children to take action and come together to create an even better world.
Made possible through an annual $250,000 commitment from Mattamy, our employees and their families have the opportunity to get involved with WE through a variety of different programming including: Take Action Camp, WE Day and volunteering in Ecuador through the WE Villages Impact Trip.
Peter Gilgan Foundation

Tour de Bleu is the Peter Gilgan Foundation’s flagship fundraising event and since its inception in 2005, the event has grown from a handful of cyclists to a 60+ strong crew of committed riders and the ripple effects are felt far and wide. In its 15 years, Tour de Bleu has raised $23 million in support of seven hospitals. In 2019, Tour de Bleu raised a remarkable $4.4 million in support of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto.
SickKids $100 Million Donation
On June 3, 2019, the Peter Gilgan Foundation donated $100 million to The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), the largest single gift ever made to SickKids. Together with donations made to other hospitals and health-care organizations to date, this makes Peter Gilgan and the Peter Gilgan Foundation the largest benefactor to health care in Canada.
